Luz Villacres Obituary

Luz A. Heredia Villacres, age 88, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Sunday April 23, 2023 in Griffin Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Ecuador on Oct 12, 1934 daughter of the late Antonio and Zoila Heredia. Luz was employed with Shamrock Services for many years before her retirement. She loved to listen to music, gardening, reading and most of all spending time with her family. She is the beloved mother of Ana Malec and her late husband Joseph, Susana Trejo, Rosa Neubauer and her husband George, Zoila Trejo, Jose D. Trejo and his wife Mariko, and Paul Villacres and his wife Milagros, loving grandmother of Karina & Francisco Piedra, Maria Suarez and her boyfriend Matthew Sacramella, Tosha Suarez, Vinny Altarmirano and his wife Crystal and Stacy Altarmirano, Kelly and Leo Villacres, great grandmother of Angela Camilo, Agustin, Matias, Alexander, Kayliana. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her loyal pet Nino. She was predeceased by her two brothers Raimundo and Rafael Heredia and two sisters Piedad Alarcon and Laura Aguilar. Friends may call on Tuesday April 25, 2023 from 5 to 8 pm in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. Her funeral will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary Church, Derby. Burial will be in Mt.
