"Eleanor Doris Spiker, 95 years young of Tucson AZ, born in Homewood, IL, October 29th, 1928, passed away quietly with family at her side November 21st, 2023. She was a devoted wife who was married to her late husband, Charles, for nearly 70 years. Her husband and children moved from the Chicago area in 1971 to create a life in Tucson, AZ. Eleanor's greatest passion was being a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her husband and children. She worked for Levy's Territorial Restaurant for many years before retiring in 1984. After retirement, Eleanor \u0026amp; Charles settled in a home in the Highlands Community in Oro Valley, AZ where she could enjoy the view of her favorite mountains, the Catalinas. She also found enjoyment visiting family members at various destinations across the United States. She spent her final year at the Mt. View Retirement Village where she made many friendships and was a daily expected sit-in at the main gathering table. Eleanor loved visits and spending time with her family members. She is survived by her children; Kirsten (KC), Kirk, \u0026amp; Glen; stepdaughter Pam; grandchildren, Megan, Camille, Angelina, Corey; greatgrandchildren, Camron, Damien, Hailey, Brooke, Kyle, Derrick, Kendra, Levi. A remembrance service will be held at the Marana Veterans Cemetery January 19th, 2024, at 11:00 where she will be placed next to her late husband Charles. Thank you for the kindness and love shared by the staff and residents of the Mt. View Retirement Village. Thank you for your professionalism and loving passionate care tendered by the Oro Valley Hospital Staff as she prepared to pass. Eleanor was Lutheran and enjoyed bible scripture readings and giving thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ.
