Luther Dukes, 54 of Leesburg passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 at his residence. Luther was born in Hahira to the late Franklin Redding, Sr & Mary Lewis Redding. He loved his family and was a hard worker. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, and working with his tow trucks. Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Dukes of Leesburg; children, Zachary (Shay) Higgins of Jacksonville, FL, Jeremiah Higgins of Enigma, and Desiree Dukes of Ocilla; granddaughter, Avery Pridgen; brother, Lee (Melissa) Redding of Alapaha; sister, Sandra Kent of Ocilla; several nieces & nephews; and blood brothers, Tracy Burnham, Tim Burnham, Tony Burnham, Marty Hubbard, Michael Hubbard, Doug Dent, and Virgil Anderson. Luther was preceded in death by his sister, Christy Dukes. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 at 2:00 p. m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Luke officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Church Cemetery in Hahira. The family will be receiving friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
