Obituary of Lucy Ventarola Lucy Ventarola of Wurtsboro passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Achieve Nursing Center in Liberty. She was 84. The daughter of the late Thomas Pitre and Mary Meninni Pitre, she was born February 15, 1934 in Brooklyn and raised in the Bronx. For a number of years, Lucy dedicated her life as a childcare provider and enriched the lives of children with love and laughter. Survivors include her two daughters: Mary Morse (Butch) of Fair Oaks, and Antoinette Sorrentino of Rock Hill; four grandchildren: Fallon Morse, Samantha Morse, John Lacey and Kaitlin Lacey; a great grandson: Elian Caraballo; a sister: Anna Gallo (Joseph) of Wurtsboro, and their three sons: Robert, Christopher and Joseph Gallo. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son: Val Sorrentino; and a nephew Thomas. Her memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 9 at 11am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating.
