LTC. HERMAN G. MACORMIC, USAF, RETIRED; passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the age of 83. Herman was born on January 29th 1940 to Herman and Evelyn. Beloved husband of the late Concetta M. (nee Cacciatore); loving father of Christine Small; dear grandfather of Rebecca (David) Reid, Michael Guttie and Laura Dobberstein; dearest brother of Lou Ann Robinson, Jim Macormic, Donald Macormic and Marlene Macormic-Kleeschulte; our dear brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. Herman proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard for over 30 years, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel from The 131st TFW at Lambert International Airport in 1993. He received his bachelors degree from Columbia College and later his Masters from Webster University. "Gerry" as he liked to be called, was an avid fisherman and was always on the hunt for the "perfect fishing hole". Gerry enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to tell a good story and play cards. After retiring he enjoyed traveling with his wife Connie of 48 years and was always up to watch a Cardinals game. Gerry also took a very active role in his local VFW and was Chaplain for many years. Gerry was a generous, kind hearted and caring man who loved his family and will be missed greatly,In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the VFW. Visitation will be held for Herman on Thursday, September 14th, 9:30 am until time of funeral service at 11:30 am at HUTCHENS MORTUARY AND CREMATION CENTER, 675 Graham Rd. , Florissant, MO 63031. Interment with full Military Honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery to follow.

Our dear life partner, mom, daughter, sister, auntie, and friend Sharon Marie von Nida -Ard sadly and unexpectedly passed away in her sleep on Saturday December 2, 2023, at her home in Florissant, Missouri. Shar was 59 years old. Sharon was born in St Louis, to Sharon (Pat) and Ernst J. von Nida on April 23, 1964. She was their 5th child. Shortly after Shar was born the family moved to Florissant where she grew up and has spent her entire life. She graduated from Hazelwood West High School. Sharon was truly the most remarkable person that you could have welcomed into your life! She was an amazing life partner, a devoted mother, an over the moon dedicated daughter, a wonderful friend and most importantly she was someone that everyone could depend on and did! Sharon had the biggest heart and more love to spread around than you can ever imagine. She will be missed by many, especially her life partner Raymond Strini, her sons Patrick (Nicole) Ard and Shayne Ard (fiance Catie Womer). Shar is further survived by her mother Sharon (Pat) von Nida, sister Susan (Paul) Turowski, brothers Stan von Nida, Scott (Kelly) von Nida and David Strini. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her father Ernst J von Nida, brother, Steven von Nida, in-laws, Raymond Strini, Sr. , and Jacqueline Strini and brother Edward Strini. Sharon's funeral will be at Hutchens Mortuary and Cremation Center in Florissant, MO (675 Graham Rd). Estelle D. Beckermann, age 91, passed away on December 2, 2023. Estelle was born in Arnold, Missouri to Adolf Stahl and Helen Telle. She was married to Kenneth J. Beckermann for over 40 years prior to his passing in 1996. She is survived by her children Thomas Beckermann, Karen (Stephen) Ryals, Michael (Barbara) Beckermann; grandchildren Mitchell Ryals, Joseph (Lauren) Ryals, Jackson (Maddie) Ryals, Nathaniel (Abby) Beckermann, and John Beckermann; and great-grandchild Colin Ryals. Estelle was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her beloved husband Kenneth, her son Robert Beckermann, and her siblings Roy Stahl, Walter Stahl, and Cornelia Lindwedel. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Estelle was an avid member at Lutheran Church of the Atonement. She loved spending time with family and helping raise her grandchildren. Estelle was a St. Louis Cardinals fan, and enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She will be loved and missed by many. VISITATION will be held on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Hutchens Mortuary, 675 Graham Road, Florissant, MO 63031. Nicki Jo Franzen (Barber) passed away peacefully on Saturday December 2, 2023 after enduring a long battle of illness at the age of 39, born November 23, 1984. Adoring and loving wife to Robert "Bob" Nels Franzen and proud mother to Brycen Robert Franzen. Daughter of Nicholas Barber and Sharon Curtis (Cary). Unconditionally loved by the Weir family as their own - Sherry and the late Tony, and their sons Ben, Andy, and Jesse. Cherished Daughter-in-law to Karen Franzen and the late Robert "Bob" Eugene Franzen. Devoted sister-in-law to Cheryl (John) Sayers, Mark (Kate) Franzen, and Anneliese (Mike) Stoos. Loving Aunt of Melinda, Devin, Avery, Garrett, and Samuel. Dear niece, cousin, and friend to many. Nicki was always the life of the party and never met a stranger. Whether at the pool, around a fire pit, or sitting lakeside with family, Nicki had a way of making genuine connections and bringing people together. She was the honorable member "Tricky Nicki" of The Vineyards Deep End Crew. Nicki had a creative heart and loved crafting meaningful and personalized gifts for her friends and family. Nicki was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and multi-year champion of fantasy football leagues. She loved animals, especially her dog Rusty. Nicki loved impromptu adventures and always had the next vacation planned. Nicki was very proud of her son Brycen, molding him into the strong and caring young man he is today. During her battle she inspired others with her resilience and determination to continue living her life to the fullest. Her positivity and strength has inspired so many others to fight hard through their own personal challenges and hurdles in life. Nicki was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
