Louis A. Gebhard, PhD, of Williamsville, NY and formerly of Cortland, NY entered into rest on April 23, 2023 at age 94. Beloved husband of the late Ann (nee O'Connell) Gebhard PhD; devoted father of Catherine (John Riley) Zweig, Jean (Tom) McManus, Meg (Domenick Sciaruto MD) Gebhard PhD, Liz (late Craig Michaels) Gebhard and Louis F. (Jill) Gebhard; cherished grandfather of Clare (John Farley) Zweig, Ian (Nia Pellone DO) Zweig, Neil McManus, Anna Sciaruto, Alex Sciaruto, Patrick Zweig, Elena Gebhard, Katherine Gebhard and Owen Gebhard; dear brother of the late James (Joan) Gebhard; fond brother-in-law of the late Jean (late Warren) Madsen; also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit PERNA, DENGLER, ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME, 1671 Maple Rd. , Williamsville, NY 14221 on Friday (April 28, 2023) from 5-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 St. Gregory Ct. , Williamsville, NY 14221 on Saturday (April 29, 2023) at 10:30am. Please assemble at church. Interment Nativity Cemetery, Orchard Park, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dr. Gebhard's memory may be made to the SUNY Cortland History Department.
