Louis J. Corsi, Sr. , 91, of Greensburg, died Friday, September 8, 2023, at his home. He was born December 25, 1931, in Greensburg, a son of the late Giulio J. and Natalina "Annie" (Peruzzi) Corsi. Prior to retirement he had been employed by PPG Industries, South Greensburg. He was a member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg. Louis was a US Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 981, South Greensburg. He was an ultimate family man, proud of his children and grandchildren. Louis was a longtime resident of South Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa (Marnell) Corsi; his brother Richard Corsi; and his sister Lydia Milne. He is survived by his children: Louis J. Corsi, Jr. (Janet), Celeste Corsi and David P. Corsi (Mary); 3 grandchildren: Kylie Zvonkovich (Jeremy), Jonathan Corsi (Emily) and Dominic Corsi; 5 great grandchildren: Hudson Louis, Finnley Richard, Bingham Edward, Aria Anne and Ella Marie; and several nieces and nephews. Honoring Louis' request, there will be no public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday in St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg. Please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 981. LEO M. Fred Richard "Freddie" Billman passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at UPMC East Hospital after a brief stay. Fred was born on April 20, 1943, in El Paso, Texas, a son of Fred Alvin and Carolyn (Baumgarten) Billman. He graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a BS degree in metallurgical engineering, and from Ohio State University, with a master's degree in metallurgical engineering. While at Ohio State, he met the love of his life, Carol Jean Tintera, his wife of 57 years. After graduation from Ohio State, Fred took a job with Alcoa and he and Carol moved to Rockdale, Texas where their son Mark Thomas was born. At Rockdale, Fred worked in the aluminum powder plant as a plant engineer. After a few years the family moved to Columbus, Ohio where Fred worked at Battelle Memorial Institute while he worked on a Ph. D. Fred then returned to Alcoa's Cleveland, Ohio plant. In Cleveland, a second son, Gregory James, was born. In 1974, the family moved to Hempfield Township and Fred went to work at the Alcoa Technical Center where he remained until his retirement in 1996. In 2000, Fred's love of technology led him to begin his second career at Seton Hill University as the Executive Director of Information Technology. At Seton Hill Fred was instrumental in leading the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies that enhanced teaching and learning. He also taught Introduction to Computers for undergraduates. Following his retirement from Seton Hill, Fred enjoyed reading books, playing with his grand dog, Nola, and talking to his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Jeffries, and Sue Ann Talbot. Fred is survived by his wife, Carol J. (Tintera) Billman; his son Dr. Mark Billman and wife, Dr. Ana Billman; his son, Dr. Gregory Billman, and wife Jennifer; his favorite daughter, Michelle Catherine Billman Shurick; his beloved grandchildren, Rebecca, Theresa, Christopher, Stephen, Sydney, and Taylor Billman; and several nieces and nephews.
