Lottie Lou Moyer, 63 of Grafton passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at her home with her loving family beside her. She was born on June 3, 1959 in Philippi, WV, daughter of the late Roy Moyer and Mary Elizabeth Merritt Bartlett. Lottie was a honorary member with over 20 years of service with the Taylor County EMS where she held many elected offices including, Captain and Lieutenant. She was featured on the TV show rescue 911. She was a Private Investigator, member of the American Red Cross where she taught many life saving courses as a Health and Safety Instructor. She was proud to be part of the Sago mining accident where she served with the American Red Cross. She loved birds, clowns, and writing poetry with many of her poems being published. She fought a long and courageous battle and fought hard. The fight is over we will see you on the other side. Lottie is survived by one son, the love of her life, Brian Kennedy; six sisters and brothers, James E. Moyer, Sandy K. Audia (Frank), Roy J. Moyer, Homer J. Moyer (Tammy), Carl Bartlett (Curtis) Michael W. Bartlett (Kimberly), six grandchildren, Isaiah, Destiny, Brittany, Brianna, Sabra, and Jaden; one great granddaughter, Braelynn, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Moyer; two granddaughters, Sierra and Kaylee. The family wishes to thank the WV hospice especially, her long time friend and former Colleague, Beth Twigg. Thanks also goes to her many friends that have helped her during this time to numerous to mention but thanks to each one of you. Thanks to Dr. Osman and staff. Per her request there will be no visitation. Lottie request of cremation has been honored and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at the I. O. O. F. Cemetery.
