Lorraine Martin, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2023. She was born in Albany to Joseph and Lois Martin who have also left this world. Lorraine loved to take care of her family and her dogs. Lorraine was the kindest, most selfless person you will ever meet. She was brave, funny, and always there for anyone who needed it. There is not enough paper in the world to even begin to write a tribute for her, but no one deserves it more. For nearly 40 years Lorraine worked in the insurance industry helping people navigate an often times confusing business. It suited her servant heart. She truly loved her family and was always there for them when they needed her. She also loved her dogs and contributed her time and monies to many different animal organizations. There are special people in our lives who never leave us, even after they are gone. Lorraine is one of those people. Someone once wrote that "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart. " Everyone knew when they met Lorraine, they met someone special and indeed she touched their hearts. Lorraine's last act was yet again another shining example of her unselfish nature - she was an organ donor and as a result, she saved 4 people's lives!Lorraine is survived by her husband Ed Withkowski, her daughter Danielle, stepson Eddie (Amanda), her sisters Mary and Lois, and her grandchildren Breonna, Cody, Emma and Dylan, and all her nieces and nephews. She joins her predeceased sisters Barbara and JoAnne in eternal peace. Per her wishes, services will be private.
