Lorraine A. (Nice) Landis, 88, of Doylestown, PA; formerly of Bally, PA & Harleysville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at her residence. She was the loving wife of Abram L. Landis for 70 years. Lorraine was born in Harleysville, PA to the late Harlan C. Nice and the late Marie (Alderfer) Nice. She graduated from Lancaster Mennonite High School, class of 1953. Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a bookkeeper for A. L. Landis & Sons in Doylestown, PA. Lorraine was a member of Doylestown Mennonite Church where she played the organ, was a MYF youth sponsor, and taught Summer Bible School. She was a former member of The Gideons International and formerly volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Doylestown, PA. Lorraine loved traveling to Canada with her husband to visit the family cabin. She enjoyed crocheting, baking shoofly and funny cakes, playing the organ, and mowing the lawn. Lorraine was an avid reader of Amish books and also enjoyed watching the Phillies. She was a faithful, loving, caring woman who was a prayer warrior. In addition to her husband, Lorraine is survived by her three sons, Garry L. Landis & wife, Cynthia of New Britain, PA, Terry B. Landis & wife, Tina of Quakertown, PA, Douglas S. Landis & wife, Anita of Quakertown, PA; her seven grandchildren, Christy N. Steiner & husband, Cedric of Millersville, PA, Erin M. Thompson & husband, Matt of Mount Airy, MD, Vanessa M. Troyer & husband, Jared of Zionsville, PA, Valerie M. Ott & husband, Dan of Swansboro, NC, Brent M. Landis & wife, Lauren of Pennsburg, PA, Casandra M. Mann & husband, Nick of Quakertown, PA, Jonathon S. Landis & wife, Sarah of Coopersburg, PA; her 15 great-grandchildren - Isabella, Isaiah, Lydia, Kylie, McKenzie, Abby, Evie, McKenna, Waylon, Wyatt, Millie, Bodie, Nora, Eva, & Halle; her brother, Stanley Nice & wife, Eleanor of Morristown, NJ; and her sister, Jeanette Hackman & husband, James of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Evie Godshall and her brother-in-law, Richard Godshall. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Thankachan George (Peedikayil House) was born on April 12, 1949 to late P. S. George and Chinamma George in Ranni Perunad, Kerala, India. He was born as the second child among seven siblings, P. G Simon, late P. G. Thomas, P. G. Abraham, Aleyamma Rajan, late Susheela Thomas, and Jolly Kurian. After his studies, he briefly worked in Mumbai, India then later migrated to work in Saudi Arabia. On May 28, 1987 he was married to Valsamma Baby (Keecheril House). In December 1996, they migrated to the United States and started working at Cardone Industries in Philadelphia, PA. Thankachan was a hardworking and dependable man with an unwavering faith in the Lord. He was active Member of Philadelphia India Christian Assembly. In 2019, he moved to Perkasie, PA to be closer with his children and grandchildren. There he started attending Pennridge Christian Fellowship in Blooming Glen, PA. Thankachan was a loving and generous man who was devoted to his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to make sure everyone around him was well fed. He enjoyed fishing with his son in laws, traveling nationally and internationally with his family, and visiting his siblings in India & Malaysia. Loved ones left behind include his wife Valsamma, daughters: Nissy Thomas & Praisy Daniel, son-in-laws James Thomas & Rijo Daniel and three granddaughters he held very close to his heart: Abrielle Thomas, Ava Daniel, and Arabelle Thomas. Esther Mae (Mack) Delp, 90, of Lansdale, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA entered into rest on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Gwynedd Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lansdale, PA. She was the loving wife of the late Paul Hiram Delp for 54 years. Esther was born in Lower Salford, PA to the late Ellis L. Mack and the late Edna (Good) Mack. She was employed in the maintenance department for the Souderton Area School District. Esther then worked in production for Hatfield Quality Meats (now known as Clemens Food Group) in Hatfield, PA. She then cleaned homes for "We Care Business" of Harleysville, PA. Esther was a life member at Towamencin Mennonite Church where she formerly played the piano. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Esther enjoyed crocheting for grandchildren and playing the piano. She also enjoyed the chuck wagon gang and singing with her sisters. Esther is survived by her two daughters, Joyce Fuller of Souderton, PA, Darlene Gahman & husband, James of Souderton, PA; her five sons, Robert "Bob" Delp & wife, Nancy of Simpsonville, SC, Ron M. Delp & wife, Michele of Telford, PA, Philip Delp of Souderton, PA, Barry M. Delp of Hatfield, PA, Steven C. Delp of Souderton, PA; her 11 grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Hannah Lapp & husband, Joseph of Harrisonburg, VA. Mildred "Millie" M. (Halteman) Maust, age 87, was serenaded by angels into the presence of Jesus on Thanksgiving Day, November, 23, 2023. She was a resident at Souderton Mennonite Homes. Millie was the beloved and devoted wife of James "Jim" L. Maust. They celebrated their 65th Anniversary, September 6th. Millie was the daughter of the late Elwood H. and the late Miriam (Moyer) Halteman. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Millie also loved her many nieces and nephews and held her many first cousins close to her heart. After attending Franconia Mennonite School, Millie got her GED following 10th grade graduation. She later enrolled for one Bible term and one year at Eastern Mennonite College. As a pastor's wife, she also took courses at Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation, and became known for her "hard words" - always intently listening and frequently succinctly capturing the moment with her spiritual wisdom and insights. Millie attended Rocky Ridge Mennonite Church in her youth where she and Jim were married on September 6, 1958. Millie was known for her intense interest in music. She utilized her musical skills in various music groups and as an excellent worship leader in churches wherever her husband Jim pastored. Millie taught in several pre-schools, played instrumental music at a variety of restaurants during Jim's seminary years and frequently served as worship leader at women's retreats. She played both piano and accordion and finally gave up the accordion after more than 60 years. Millie's gift as a worship leader was her passion. Her musical talent will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Earlier in her adult life she had been employed at Ralph's Market, Lansdale, Ridge Hosiery, Quakertown, W. T. Grant, Lansdale, American-Olean Tile, Lansdale and Good's Orchards, Elkhart, IN. While her husband Jim was pastor at Harrisonville Mennonite Church she was worship leader and also taught at Kinder-Kastle, Harrisonville Christian School. She taught at Methacton Mennonite Nursery School, Worcester, became secretary for Towamencin Mennonite Church, Kulpsville, and New Eden Fellowship, Schwenksville. She had the opportunity to work as escort for Jim's tour bus trips at Perkiomen Tours. Later she would edit his book, From the Driver's Seat. When their children were in their teens, Millie and Jim taught 100 kids to water ski. She thoroughly enjoyed touring on the motorcycle with Jim for 45+ years. Reading, sewing, crocheting, traveling and spending time with the grandkids and great-grandkids were all things Millie had interest in and loved doing. Millie is survived by her husband, Jim; her two daughters, Lynn Miller & husband, Steve of Blooming Glen, Jayn Swartz & husband, Craig of Perkasie; her five grandchildren - Clark Miller & wife, Kayla of Hershey, Cody Swartz of Camp Hill, Bryn Swartz of Hatfield, Collin Miller & wife, Susan of Perkasie, Talia Miller Walker & husband, Chris of Lansdale, her four great-grandchildren - Selah Joan, Lucy Louise, Nathan James, and Caleb Jeffrey; and her sister-in-law, Sallie Halteman of Sierra Vista, AZ. In addition to her parents, Millie was predeceased by her two brothers, Leroy Halteman and Richard Halteman. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Lois Ella Flemming age 93, of Souderton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Allan John Flemming, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. Born September 18, 1930, in Germantown, she was a daughter of the late Frank T. and Edna Elizabeth (Goldbeck) Gower. She was predeceased by her sister Joan Tramontina and brother Edward Gower. Lois was an excellent seamstress and would make her own clothes as well as clothes for her family. She was also an excellent cook and hosted many memorable family dinners. Lois enjoyed playing mahjong and reading and was a member of Harrington Village Book Club. She also enjoyed traveling with husband Al and her family and friends. She was the family historian, and loved sharing stories of the family ancestors. She is survived by her children Joanne Patterson and her husband Richard of Drexel Hill, PA, Karl A. Flemming of Harleysville, PA, grandchildren Teresa Flemming of Glenolden, PA; Richard G. Patterson III of Astoria, NY; nephews Edward Guy Gower and his wife Robin of Harleysville, PA and David Gower and his wife Grace of Newnan, GA. He was the beloved husband of the late Lois Ella (Gower) Flemming, with whom he shared over 68 years of marriage. Born June 29, 1930, in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clarence Alfred and EvelynAmanda (LeVan) Flemming. Allan was a 40-year employee of Bell Telephone Company of PA/Bell Atlantic, where he held various positions until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed making home improvements and traveling with his wife, family and friends. He also enjoyed playing and watching golf and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, a passion he shared with his son, Karl. He enjoyed backyard cookouts and spending time with his family. Catherine "Katie" Margaret (LaBella) West, 92, of Schwenksville, PA; formerly of Green Lane , PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Greenfield Senior Living of Schwenksville. She was the loving wife of the late John Logan West for 51 years. Katie was born in Sellersville, PA to proud Italian immigrants, the late Francesco LaBella and the late Emilia (Chimenti) LaBella. She graduated from Lansdale High School, class of 1949, where she met her husband, John. Katie worked part-time as seamstress for the former Interstate Hosiery Mill in Lansdale, as secretary for the former Clemens Poultry Auction in Harleysville, PA, as a cafeteria worker for the North Montco Vo-Tech School in Lansdale, PA, and as saleswoman for the former Jeanette Dresing Woman's Clothing Store in Skippack, PA. She lastly worked as an accounting clerk for SCI Graterford Correctional Facility in Collegeville, PA for 10 years, until retiring in 1994. Katie was a Brownie Troop Leader #514 and a Lansdale Girl Scout Leader. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lansdale where she served as a Sunday school teacher and assisted in the kitchen. Katie was a member of Perkiomenville Mennonite Church where she served with the J. O. Y. Luncheon committee. She was a former member and volunteer of the Blue Comets Motorcycle Club of Skippack. Katie was a member of the Red Hats Society of the Upper Perk Chapter. She was a volunteer at Grand View Hospital. Katie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed having family and friends over for holidays. She loved traveling many miles cross country with her late husband on their Harley Davidson. Katie enjoyed wintering in Florida and was active with the social club and clubhouse at the Orange City Mobile Home Park in Orange City, FL. She enjoyed flower gardening, playing Scrabble, feeding and watching the wild birds. Katie had a deep love of cooking and was known for her lasagna, broccoli rabe, and green bean casserole. She loved spending summers going to the pool with her grandchildren and she had a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren and her niece. Katie is survived by her two daughters, Mary Ann Leister & husband, Roger of Green Lane, PA, Sondra Appleton of Telford, PA; her five grandchildren - Devon, J. T. , Douglas, Nicole, & Sheila; her ten great-grandchildren - Tahlia, Madison, Dayton, John, Brayden, Scarlett, Layla, Nathan, Julia, & Jude; and her niece, Susan Guiliano of Gilbertsville, PA. Giuseppe Mario Marcello "Joseph" Piacentini, age 87, of Souderton, PA, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Eddy) with whom he shared over 49 years of marriage. Born August 18, 1936, in Oderzo, Italy, he was a son of the late Clino and Filomena Piacentini. Joseph was very creative throughout his life, whether it was furniture building, oil painting, sketching or preparing food. He enjoyed being outside and tending to his garden and outdoor projects,or relaxing in the sunshine. As a father, friend and neighbor he was quick to lend a helping hand. His true passion was his family, here in the U. S. and Italy, and he cherished the times they spent together. He cared for his loved ones steadfastly and with quiet action. In addition to his wife Lorraine, he is survived by his children Mena Piacentini McCabe and her husband Jason, Anna Piacentini Lacher and her husband Todd; grandchildren Finn, Liam and Fiona McCabe and Eli, Caroline, and Leo Lacher; siblings Anna Piacentini Grossi and Clino Piacentini. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family here in the US and in Italy. He was preceded in death by two brothers Salvatore and Francesco Piacentini. David Soto-Gonzalez, 67, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Puerto Rico passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Nilsa Cardona. David was born in Puerto Rico to the late Cruz Gonzalez-Velasquez and the late Evangelista Soto Colon. Throughout his life, David took pleasure in watching old movies, sharing jokes and funny stories with those he loved and speaking with his family and friends over the phone. He was known for drinking "white" coffee, which always contained extra milk. David will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather that loved his family wholeheartedly and unconditionally. His eyes would light up with joy whenever one of his beloved family members would enter his home. He was a man with a great sense of humor that always cherished bringing laughter to others. As a man with a powerful love of God, he could often be found spending his time studying his bible.
