Brooks Young

Brooks Young

Age - N/A

November 15, 2023

Brooks David Young, eight days of age, passed peacefully on the evening of November 10, 2023, in the NICU at Kettering Hospital. Brooks was born on November 2, 2023, at 6:01 p. m. at 25 weeks 4 days gestation to parents Kayleigh (Rado) Young and Jerrod Young. Brooks is survived by his parents, big brother Jay, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many cousins. He was deeply loved and will be immensely missed. During his short time on earth, Brooks showed off his large personality and his will to survive. When all odds were stacked against him, he showed the mighty fight within him to stay with his family for just a little while longer. He responded most to the voices and touch of his mother and father by squirming around and trying his best to open his eyes. He loved to be held close. Brooks had the most perfect features, fingers, toes, and little nose. He was beautiful and feisty in every way. In the end, Brooks' little body could not fight anymore, and he passed away while being held in the arms of his mother and father, surrounded by his family. The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 11:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home in Miamisburg, Ohio. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p. m. followed by his burial at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, Brooks' family is asking that you bring a book to be donated to Kettering NICU as a thank you to his incredible team who cared for him during his stay, and to inspire all of the beautiful babies still fighting.Show more
