Loretta "Lynn" Ownby (Olgers) January 25, 1968-September 10, 2023. Loretta "Lynn" Ownby (Olgers) age 55, of Quinton, Virginia departed this life, September 10, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert (Bob) Olgers, and her sister, Tina Morris. Lynn loved her family and friends. She was a free spirit, fun loving and full of hilarity. She was quick to fight or defend, and would go to battle to fight for her beliefs and loved ones . Whether right or wrong, Lynn never considered backing down. Lynn was an avid live music fan ! She could often be found on the dance floor all around RVA showing support for her favorite musicians. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and being near the water. Daniel and Oliver, mother Brenda Olgers, sister Terry Olgers, lifelong love David Ownby Sr, and best friend and confidant Terrie "TT" Bland, as well as a host of family and friends. A Memorial service will be held at Hardy Central Baptist Church 4655 Darbytown Rd. , Richmond, VA 23231 on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11 AM, reception to follow. A celebration of life/final expense fundraiser, will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 with a Poker Run and a 50-50 raffle. Registration will begin at 10:30 AM at Omega 120 E. City Point Rd. Hopewell VA 23860 kick stands up at 12pm . We will ride to some of Lynn's favorite spots and will end back at a Omega in the afternoon 4-7 for live music, food and a celebration with family and friends, you don't have to ride to join us for the afternoon celebrations. February 12, 1928 - November 18, 2023 With broken hearts, the Lehmeier family announces the passing of Thelma Catherine (Schad) Lehmeier, 95 years old of Reserve Township. Thelma passed away on Saturday Nov. 18th 2023 quietly at home in Quinton, Virginia. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Lehmeier; loving mother of Rhonda (Tom) McKinney, Warren (Trudy) Lehmeier, Lawrence Lehmeier, Randal Lehmeier, Paula Scatena and Jenifer (Joy) Lehmeier; also survived by 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four of her children, Michael Lehmeier, Robyn Ogg, Laura Szymanski, Theresa Speck; her parents, Charles & Martha Schad; and four siblings, Charles Schad Jr. , Elva Scherling, Rita Etter and Paul Schad. The Lehmeier family has been blessed beyond measure to have an incredible, nurturing, compassionate and the greatest mother ever! Her unconditional love, support and her natural maternal disposition carried over to becoming an exceptional and passionate RN Supervisor at St. Francis hospital in Pittsburgh where she worked for 48 yrs. She devoted her life to God, family and caring for others. She and her beloved husband Robert enjoyed traveling the US coast to coast and spending family time at their cherished Slippery Rock camp. As the mother of the Lehmeier family she exhibited strength beyond measure. We were blessed to have her with us for 95 years and we are comforted she is with our Lord and loved ones. Savanah Grace Atkins, 29, of Quinton, Virginia died suddenly on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, along with her girlfriend, Ana Farris. Savanah graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with triple degrees in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. She earned her National Pharmacy Technician Certification while working at CVS Pharmacy in Roanoke. Upon moving back to the Richmond area, she worked as a pharmacy technician at Henrico Doctors Hospital Forest then recently transferred to TriCities Medical Center in Hopewell, VA. Savanah loved animals of all kinds, but cats were always her favorite. One of her ultimate goals in life was to create an animal rescue. One of her favorite games was playing Dungeons and Dragons and often served as the Dungeon Master. Her and Ana loved to do escape rooms together, and successfully cleared most of the rooms in Richmond. Savanah also loved to read anything from high fantasy to contemporary romance with some of her favorites being and . Those left to cherish her memories are her parents, Kenneth Blake and Anita Atkins of Roanoke, VA; her siblings: Samantha (Rob) Henkel of Cumberland, VA and Kathryn (Joshua) Tracy of Kingman, KS; and Kenneth Brice Atkins of Richmond, VA; her paternal grandparents, Ken and Reba Atkins of Roanoke, VA and her maternal grandparents, William Delano and Nancy McCrickard; and numerous other family members. She is also survived by her 2 cats and dog: Phaedra, Annabelle, and Tater Tot. She was loved dearly by her work colleagues and the many friends she had made through the years. Family will gladly receive visits at the home of Savanah's parents: 3621 Bohon Street, NE Roanoke, VA 24012. A celebration of Savanah's life will be held at Simpson Funeral Home, 3912 Electric Road Roanoke, VA, on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 2 pm with visitation starting at 12 pm prior to service. "Sherry Christian (Sher\u0027Kay) Lawson, age 67, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 5, 2023, with her family by her side, at her home in Quinton, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and Lloyd B. Christian, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon K. Hicks of New York City, son, Michael E. Hicks (Heather) of Chesterfield, VA, three granddaughters, Savannah and Addison Hicks of New Kent, VA and Chloe Hicks of Chesterfield. One brother, Lloyd B. Christian, Jr. (Fran) and six sisters; her twin, Sharon Scheu (Eberhard), Wendy Palmer, Elizabeth Nobles (David), Ruth Yates (Sammy), Susan Duke (Arnie), and Kathy Griffith (Dale). She was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church. Sherry was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it, was an advocate for everyone and put her family above all. She had a love of reading, especially Nicholas Sparks, was a talented painter, and an amazing cook who was known for her deviled eggs, meatloaf and spaghetti. Sherry had an outstanding work ethic and ended her career at Anderson \u0026amp; Strudwick, Inc. , as VP and Director of Human Resources in 2010. The family wishes to thank Nayar Home Hospice for providing outstanding care and Sherry's End-of-Life Doula, Shelby Kirillin for comforting Sherry and her family during this difficult time. A very special thank you to all of the family and friends who came together to help care for Sherry in the final weeks of her life and have continued to shower us with love, food, visits, and hugs. Jennifer Kay Caldwell, 76, of Quinton, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 21, 2023, peacefully at home with her husband of 56 years, Charles A. Caldwell, by her side. She was born on April 11, 1947 to Mildred and Richard Jones in Peterstown, West Virginia in Monroe County. She graduated from Peterstown High School in 1965, and then attended and graduated from Alice's Beauty School in Roanoke, Virginia. Shortly after, she and her husband, Charles, moved to Hopewell, Virginia and later to New Kent County. Jennifer is survived by her beloved husband, Charles, and her daughters, Marnie Bourne of Mattaponi, Virginia and Jessica Allen (Bill) of Raleigh, North Carolina. She is survived by her granddaughter, Logan Bourne, and her grandsons, Ward, Charlie and Thomas Allen. She is also survived by her sister, Sue Breeding, and her brother, Vincent Jones, and sisters-in-law, Judy Hare, Frances Parker and Angela Caldwell. In addition, she is survived by her nephews, Nicholas and Nathaniel Breeding, Benjamin Hare, Steve Caldwell, Lance "Imran" Hyman, and nieces, Dawn Noble, Tiffany Granger, Ashley Davis, Kim Head, Kristin Seitz, Josie Robbins, Beth Parnell, and Lisa Walton. She was preceded in passing by her mother, Mildred Jones, father, Richard Jones, her sister, Rhonda Noble, and her nieces Cynthia Anne and Rebecca Breeding. Jennifer worked as a beautician for many years at "The Hen House" and "Lords and Ladies" in Hopewell, where she had many loyal customers. She was also a member of Fairmount Christian Church in Mechanicsville, where she was a member for 30 years. At Fairmount, Jennifer was involved with the Feed His Sheep ministry. While living in Hopewell, she attended Tri-City Church of Christ. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and had a fierce love of God, her country and debating politics. She cherished walks in the yard to look at her flowers, collecting antiques and cooking and canning for her family and friends, especially on holidays. Many of her customers were happy to receive her famous fruit cakes at Christmas. She also enjoyed visiting family in West Virginia and Raleigh. Jennifer will be greatly missed and fondly remembered, and we will hold her close within our hearts, and there she will remain until we meet again. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 2:00 P. M. at Fairmount Christian Church at 6502 Creighton Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia.
