"Alberta Ruth Mixon, fondly known as Berta, was born on December 30, 1934, in Sterling, Oklahoma, to J A and Mellie Darden. She peacefully passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 89, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Alberta was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Throughout her life, Alberta displayed a vibrant and adventurous personality. She was outgoing, loved to travel, and cherished her church family. Alberta\u0027s passion for sewing and crafting brought joy to many, as she lovingly created items for those around her. She also found solace in music, often playing her organ and singing. In her career, Alberta dedicated herself to the healthcare field. She served as an x-ray tech and nurse\u0027s aide in Louisiana and Tulsa for many years before transitioning to become a phlebotomist, for the latter part of her career. Alberta found comfort and community at Regency Park Church of the Nazarene, where she worshiped and connected with others who shared her faith. Her hobbies included embroidery, sewing, and playing music. Alberta cherished moments spent playing Farkle with her close friends. She will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family. Alberta is survived by her son, Steve Mixon, and his wife, Renee Mixon, as well as her grandchildren Kathy, Angel, Terrance, Chris, Mike, and Mark. She also leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Mixon, her son, Robert Lynn, and several siblings. A memorial service to celebrate Alberta\u0027s life will be held at Regency Park Church of the Nazarene, 8707 East 51st Street South, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Regency Park Church in honor of Alberta\u0027s memory. Moore Funeral Home, located at 9350 East 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma, is assisting with the arrangements for Alberta Ruth Mixon\u0027s services."

"Thomas H. Gilbert, DDS passed away at home on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the age of 81. He was the husband of Mary Kathryn Gilbert. They shared 14 years together. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was the son of Thomas H. Gilbert Sr. and Julia Pauline Gilbert. He graduated from Westminster College with a degree in biology. Then went to Washington College to pursue a Doctorate in Dentistry. Thomas was a captain in the United States Army. He owned Thomas Gilbert DDS, Dentistry for Children, where he worked as a Pediatric Dentist. He belonged to Tulsa Men\u0027s Group and Tulsa County Dental Association. He enjoying going to Grand Lake, fishing, OU football, traveling, scuba diving and his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his jokes, kind heart and bbq! He is survived by his wife, Mary Kathryn: children, Thomas H. Gilbert III, Julia Elizabeth Cox, Daniel James Harding, Michael Knapp Harding, Matthew Alan Harding, Megan Elizabeth (Weston Thomas) Adams. Thomas adored his 13 grandchildren and his yellow Labrador Retriever, Boomer. The celebration of life will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 at 2:00pm at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st Street Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: Westminster College Scholarship Fund, Attn: President Lofe, Westminster College, 501 Westminster Avenue, Fulton, MO 65251."
