Mrs. Alice "Lois" Blanton Sutton, age 86, of Franklin, Georgia, passed away on Thursday evening, September 7, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 7, 1937, in Sylva, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Burnette Blanton and Ada Green Blanton. During her working career, she was employed with Peds Products as a switchboard operator. Mrs. Lois was a longtime, faithful member of Glenloch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Bill" H. Sutton. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters and son-in-law, Judy & Wendell Jiles and Rose Thompson; grandchildren, Misty & Jay Lambert, Adam Harper, and Stevie Crawford; and great-grandsons, Beau Lambert and Tucker Lambert. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 11, 2023, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home with Pastor Neil Awbrey officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Mr. Robert "Bob" Moore, age 65, of Franklin, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023. He was born January 20, 1958, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, the son of the late Robert Moore and the late Rosemary Nows Moore. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his retirement from the Navy, he worked in the heating and air business and with Duracell Batteries before his second retirement. Bob was a handyman who truly enjoyed helping others and serving his community. His greatest joy was his family, and he took great pride in being affectionately known as "PaPa. "In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Mason; grandson, Zachary Moore; and brother Michael Moore. Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Ramona Prescott Moore of Franklin, Georgia; sons & daughters-in-law, Sonny & Rhonda Moore of Prague, Oklahoma, and William & Angelia Hines of LaGrange, Georgia; daughter, Ryan Moore of Heard County; sisters, Pat Colkman of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Tarey Moore of Tucson, Arizona, and Janice Mariotto of Rossville, Michigan; brother, Mark Moore of Tucson, Arizona; granddaughters, Alexis Mason, Shequareha Nelson, and ZaKiya Nelson; grandson, Stephen Hodge; great-grandsons: Caius Howes, Zyrickae Nelson, and Keith Lee Hodge; great-granddaughters: Mahaylie Stovall and Summer Stovall; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Pastor Lynn Janney officiating. James "Jamie" Anthony Gore, age 53, of Franklin, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. He was born on June 23, 1970, in Fulton County, Georgia, the son of the late Wendell Theo Gore and Linda Heard Gore. Jamie worked as a machine operator for Robert & Sons Aluminum. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and an exceptional grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his father, Wendell Theo Gore, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Brentley Gore. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Connie Pugh Gore; mother, Linda Heard Gore; sons & daughters-in-law, Jeremy & Jasmine Gore and Marcus & Brittney Gore; sister & brother-in-law, Lashunda & David McCullough; brother, Scott Gore; and grandchildren, Dawson Gore, Billie Gore, Zoey Gore, and Rayleigh Edge. Blake Michael Besosa, 61, of Franklin, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 25, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 3, 1961, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Robert Michael Besosa and Becky Lynn Johnson Besosa. Blake served as the Manager of the Publix Meat Department for 30 years until his retirement in 2014. Following retirement, Blake opened Besosa's Deer Processing and operated it for five years before working for SLM Recycling and Harman Turf Farms. He was a loving husband, a supportive father, and a proud Poppi. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his mother, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years, Kimberly Ann Blackburn Besosa; children, Sarah & Chase Carroll, Rebekah & Cole Smith, and Dylan & Marianna Besosa; grandchildren, Tripp Carroll, Amelia Carroll, Bennett Smith, and Hank Besosa; brothers & sisters-in-law, Brent & Kathy Besosa and Robb & Mary Besosa; sister & brother-in-law, Cherise & David Herbert; father-in-law & mother-in-law, George & Judy Blackburn; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Doug & Karen Blackburn, and Sheri & Kevin Wicker; and a number of nieces and nephews. Franklin Springs - Leo Francis Stockbridge, 70, of Franklin Springs, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Francis was born January 10, 1953 in Franklin Springs, the son of Robert and Hazel (Ankin) Stockbridge. He attended Clinton Central schools before entering the workforce. Throughout his career, Francis had been employed with Hamilton Digital, Marcy Psychiatric Center, and finally Morrisville State College, from where he retired. Francis is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Gene Whipple, Waterville; two grandchildren, Taylor and Ty Whipple, Waterville; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert Seymour and Barb Stockbridge, Clinton; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Diane Hutchings, Franklin Springs, Sharon Reeves, Madison, Kathleen and Chuck Angier, Waterville; a very special niece (who spent the last several years helping and caring for Francis), Marie Buell, Oriskany Falls; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He also leaves his longtime dear friend (who was also his aide over the last 6 months), Sandy Morris, West Eaton. Besides his parents, Robert and Hazel, Francis is predeceased by two sisters, Ellen and Penny; and his longtime girlfriend, Jo Cecilia Moore. Francis' family offers their thanks and heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Waterville Residential Care Center for the care and kindness shown to Francis during his stay. Family and friends are invited to A Celebration of Life in Francis' memory, being held April 1, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Helmuth-Ingalls American Legion Post #232, NY-12B, Franklin Springs. He was loved by many and we look forward to sharing the wonderful memories we all have of him. Interment will be held privately in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. Arrangements are entrusted to R. P.
