David Lochte

David Lochte

Age - 76

November 17, 2023

My Life with David My husband Dave Lochte, 76, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away October 21, 2023. Dave wanted cremated and his cremains scattered. He didn't want services. He was a very private man and didn't like drama. He was a very smart man also. He was quiet and could be very funny. He was a very good dancer as well and knew just the right way to hold me in his arms. He also knew the way to hold me and comfort me, when I needed it. We got along so well together because we had love and respect for each other. I could not have asked for a better husband. Dave hardly ever bought anything for himself because he said he didn't need anything. He did enjoy lottery tickets and things he could consume, so we got him things like that for the holidays. He was also happy with things our grandkids made for him. He put me first as I put him first. I tried to talk him into letting me take him to talk to people he knew or worked with in town after he couldn't drive anymore but he declined. He said he was content at home. Dave was in the Coast Guard in his younger years, that was before I met him. He shared stories about his adventures and I loved listening. He loved being around our three grandchildren and I have lots of pictures of them together to cherish. My daughters and their families were always so good to him. If he needed anything, they would make sure he got it. The last couple days before he died, my daughters took different shifts to help me. He had to take medicine quite often. It was hard but we loved him and wanted to do our best for him. Our grandkids did what they could because they loved their pap. We all have good memories of him and he will never be forgotten. - His loving wife Diane Lochte Arrangements were handled by the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc. , McConnellsburg, PA.
