Rita Fay Kelly, 76, of Troup, passed away on September 18, 2023, in Overton, Texas. She was born on June 27, 1947, in Houston, Texas, to the late Charlie Andrew Jones, Sr. and Perna Fay Lloyd. Funeral services for Rita Kelly will be 11:00 am, Saturday, September 23, 2023, at J-C Cowboy Church, Mt. Selman, Texas with Pastor Mike Blumn and Reverend Bennie Portwood officiating, with burial following at Walnut Grove, Whitehouse. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Saturday, September 23, 2023, at J-C Cowboy Church, Mt. Selman, prior to the service. Rita was a resident of the Troup community and a member of the J-C Cowboy Church. She loved being in the church ministry for children. She enjoyed cooking, was known for her Rita Rolls. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Rita is survived by her son, Roger Kelly of Shreveport, LA; daughters, Karyn Revelle and husband Len of Smithton, IL, and Sandie Dickey and husband Homer of Troup; brother, Charlie Andrew Jones, Jr. and wife Rachel of Whitehouse; sister, Colleen Marek of Gonzales, TX; 6 grandchildren, Michael and Cat Kelly, Seth Boynton, Brittany and Brandon Brinson, Garrett Boynton, Syndie Dickey and Eli Dickey; 4 great-grandchildren, Brantley Brinson, Branton Brinson, Brixton Brinson and Brylan Brinson . Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Walden, 84, of Kilgore will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 1:00 P. M. in the Chapel at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with Reverend James Boatman officiating. Burial will follow at the Kilgore Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon September 10, 2023, from 2:00 P. M. until 4:00 P. M. Mr. Walden passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Kenneth was born on April 28, 1939, in Overton, Texas. He was the son of the late Melvin "Red" and Elsie Hicks Walden. Kenneth honorably served our Country in the United States Army. He was in the grocery business from 1965 until 1995. Kenneth and his family owned and operated K. Walden's Grocery and K. Walden's Food City. He later operated K. Walden RV Sales. Kenneth was an avid car collector for many years. He loved his cars and his car club friends. Kenneth was a Lone Star Lug Nuts Car Club member in White Oak. Kenneth loved his family and the time spent with his wife, sons, grandkids and many friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Maudie Gilstrap, Mary Ann Braly, and Sallie Yamka; brothers, Charlie Walden and his wife Bobbie, Edward Walden and wife Norma , and Melvin Henry Walden. Grayson Maddox Rhoades, 23, of Overton, Texas went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2023. Grayson was born in Forth Worth, Texas on June 1, 2001, to Barry and Amy Beth Rhoades. Grayson loved being outdoors in the cool weather and loved music, but his favorite sound was the laughter of his family. Grayson was quite the ladies' man and brought light into any room he entered. He will be missed in the days ahead by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. Grayson's laugh and smile were like no other. Grayson was a ray of sunshine. Anyone that encountered him left with a smile that he prepared just for you. His laugh, smile, and love were so contagious, He was such an instrumental part of our lives and was always the life of the party. His purpose on earth was to show unconditional love. And he exceeded that purpose every day. Everyone that encountered him was blessed beyond measure and the blessings you received were then given to others. Some say, "When we lose one blessing, another is often most unexpectedly given in its place. ". Peggy Ann Jacobs was Born on October 8, 1946, in Norfolk Virginia. She was called home to be with Jesus on June 14, 2023. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Pearl Capwell, and sister Dorothy. Her father served in the Navy for 30 years, retiring with his family in Jacksonville Florida. Peggy attended Nathan Forrest High School in Jacksonville and studied Graphic and Fine Arts at Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell, NM Peggy married her own Navy sailor, Arden Jacobs on February 12th, 1965. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary earlier this year. Peggy and Arden raised two loving and devoted sons. She enjoyed time with her grandsons working the baseball concession stand and driving them to the zoo and fishing camps in the summers and, she adored being a great-grandmother. Peggy cherished and loved her family deeply. She was an avid crafter, collector of art and sculptures, and a talented nature photographer. She loved her home on the pond in Overton, which afforded her all of nature, wonderful landscapes, and abundant wildlife for her beautiful photographs. Peggy is survived by her husband Arden Jacobs, two sons Leon Jacobs and his wife Kim and Kevin Jacobs, grandsons Cody Jacobs and his wife Bryndee, Chase Jacobs, Cory Jacobs, and bonus granddaughter Courtney and her family, one great-grandson , Blake Jacobs, her Aunt Barbara Hendon and family, nephews Joey O'Connell, Timmy O'Connell and his wife Lottie and their family. Winnie Dell Morris, 84, of Joinerville, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 15, 2023. She was born in Tyler, Texas on April 16, 1939, to the late Emory and Winnie Scoggins. She Married the love of her life, and together they had three children. She was a Member of Rock Hill Faith Community Church and Loved being a Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Winnie retired in 1994 after a Career of 24 years teaching in Wyoming and Texas Public Schools. She was a member of The Eastern Star, Methodist Women's Circle, Girl Scout Leader, and a SFA Duchess. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, piano, playing the organ in church, puzzles, and traveling.
