Lizabeth Childs Obituary

Liz Childs Loving Wife and Mother 03/24/70 - 04/22/23 Liz grew up in the small town of Conway Michigan with her Father (William Krieg, deceased), Her Mother (Jacqueline Krieg), and Brother (Chip Krieg) surrounded by Grand Parents and Aunts and Uncles who all adored little Lizzy. Liz later moved with her parents to Harbor Springs where she graduated high school and went on to attend Michigan State University, just like her brother before her. Liz and Doug Childs (Husband) began dating in the fall of 1990 when Doug started his freshman year at MSU. Their love grew stronger with each passing day. Doug asked Liz to marry him and they were wed on May 20th, 1995 and began their married life together. They settled in Fowlerville Michigan and started their family. Liz and Doug have been blessed with two beautiful children Megan Kasik (Childs) and Sarah Childs. Liz Loved being a mother more than anything in the whole world! Liz enjoyed her work as parish secretary at St Agnes Catholic Church. She loved all and spent many hours volunteering with the kids religious education programs, as well as various other programs. Always behind the scenes, never looking for credit. Liz continued this work until her fight with cancer would no longer allow. Liz was a very strong woman, solid in her faith and love of the Lord. Even through the toughest times she never complained and was always more concerned for others. Liz's life was cut way too short for all of us, as she peacefully passed in her home in the presence of loving family the evening of April 22, 2023. Liz is survived by her husband Doug Childs, daughter Megan Kasik and her husband Ben, daughter Sarah and her boyfriend Tyler Dowling. She may be gone physically but she will remain in our hearts forever!
