Lisa "Sunni" Ann Duke Brown, 59, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on September 8, 2023. Sunni was born on December 18, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky to Floyd Larry Brown and Shirley Ann Duke Brown. Sunni is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Brown and her brother, Stephen Saffran. Left to cherish Sunni's memory is her son, Steven Brown; father, Floyd Brown; loving companion, William Joseph Baker; sister, Tina Major (Lee); half-brother, Jimi Saffran; and her granddaughter, Emma Brown. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 2 p. m. - 7 p. m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213. Sunni will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.

James J. Henry, Jr. (Jim), age 71, died on Tuesday morning, December 5, 2023, with his wife at his side. He was born on July 16, 1952, in Louisville, Ky, to James J. Henry Sr. and Ann Montgomery Henry. He attended St Aloysius Elementary, graduated from St Xavier High School in 1970 and was educated at JCC Culinary School. Jim also learned how to cook at Hasenour's and Jack Fry's restaurants. Jim was married to his wife, Jean Marlatt Henry for 43 years and was a devoted and loving husband and father to three children and six grandchildren. In addition to his great love for his family, Jim was passionate about food and was Chef/Owner of The Winery, The Old House, Twice Told Coffee Shop, and the City Cafe restaurants. He nurtured people through food. His father-in-law Chuck once said, "I would rather eat at Jim's table than dine at the finest restaurants in France. " He was a voracious reader and storyteller and made a significant impact on so many people throughout our community. Jim loved nature and took walks daily in the parks and neighborhoods of Louisville. He cherished his bonsai collection and often created beautiful and whimsical art from stones, metal scraps, and wood found during his walks. His knowledge of history, world cultures, science and people were vast. He is survived by his wife, Jean Henry, his children, Amy Henry, Emily Kirchdorfer, and Patrick Henry, his father, James J. Henry Sr. , siblings, Kitty Henry, Margaret Anderson, Sally Wright, Gene Henry, Joe Henry, five grandchildren, Austin, Kate, Zoe, Sarah, Kai, and Lily and two great grandchildren, Lillianna, and Ambrosio. Family, friends, and all who knew Jim are invited to the Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison Ave. , Louisville Ky, from 2:00pm - 8:00pm on Monday 12/11/23, to honor Jim's life. William "Bill" South passed away December 5, 2023 at the age of 95. He was born in Shrewsburry, Kentucky to Miles Ernest South and Lillie Hayes South. Bill moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1948. This is where he met and married the love of his life Roberta "Bobbie" South. He will always be known as a great husband and father. Always willing to help others. Bill was a Korean War veteran, he retired from Standard Gravure company in 1984, was a Kentucky Colonel, and was a 50+ years member and past master of Falls City Masonic Lodge. He was a Kentucky Wildcat fan, loved golfing, and horse racing. Bill spent his final days with family around him and passed away peacefully. Preceded in death by Bobbie, his loving wife of 66 years, Miles Ernest South (father) and Lillie Hayes South (mother), Luella South Whitaker (sister), and Brian South (grandson). Survived by his children, Mike (Donna) South, Karen South, Janet South, Rob (Gina) South and Neal (Delores) South; Grandchildren Andy South, Johanna South (Nicole), Chris Wright, Miles South (Gracie), Caroline South Schiller (Mitch), and Kelli South. A visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218 on December 12, 2023 from 12PM-2PM. A funeral service will follow at 2PM in the funeral home chapel. Bill will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park. Ronald Joseph Pregliasco (Sr), born February 10, 1948, in Louisville, KY, passed away on December 4, 2023, in his home. Ron was preceded in death by his mother and father Anna Catherine and William, brothers Stephen and Laurento, sister Donna Gerber, and brother-in-law Roland Roy. Ron was the loving husband for 50 years to his high school sweetheart, Pamela Greenwell Pregliasco, the proud father of Nick, Andrea (Jason) and Joe (Natalie) and doting grandfather of Riley, Lexi, Sam, Quinton, Louis, Owen, and Jolie. Ron is survived by his brother Bill, sister Phyllis Roy and a large loving family including numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Ron Pregliasco, Ron, Ronnie, Uncle Ron loved a witty joke, a firm handshake, and a clean car. Ron was honest and trustworthy, threw a great party and sent the most personalized of birthday cards. Ron spent the early years of his career in local government where among other things, he led the fight for missing and exploited children, brought 911 to Louisville and coordinated the running of the Olympic torch through the city. Later in his career, he was a respected leader in commercial real estate both here in Louisville and throughout the Commonwealth. But Ron's greatest accomplishments were found in the time he spent with his family. "Ronnie" was happiest in the company of his grandchildren, teaching them the most important of life skills and how to be good people. He taught them poker before they could read, how to navigate a paper map and the basic function of an engine. Ron's strength and leadership, his strong moral compass, his dry wit and quick humor, and unconditional love will be missed by all that knew him. Visitation will be 4 pm - 7 pm on Friday, December 8th, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. The funeral mass will be Saturday, December 9th, at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Church Catholic Church, 501 Cherrywood Road; burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery on Newburg Road. "Lindon Ana Coffee, born March 10, 1958, passed away on December 6, 2023. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Lindon was the daughter of Lindon Lewis Coffee and Ina Mills. After graduation from Valley High School she obtained a degree from the University of Louisville in Marketing and worked in sales and marketing. She also worked for the Kentucky Community Technical College, leading seminars and training students for career development throughout Kentucky and Tennessee military bases. After graduate work at Indiana Wesleyan, she worked as an ECE facilitator for students in the Jefferson County School System. Lindon was quick witted with a great sense of humor and an avid reader of history. As a devoted mother to her daughter, Reagan Mills, they were members of Hurstbourne Baptist Church. Lindon was preceded in death by her parents, Lindon and Ina Coffee; half-sister, Marian Singletary and step-father, William Morris. Survivors include her daughter, Reagan Schatz, brothers, Jack Coffee (Barbara), Bill Coffee (Cindee) step-sister, Julia Peterson and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10:00-12:30 on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Ratterman \u0026amp; Sons Funeral Home, 10600 Taylorsville Rd. , Jeffersontown, KY .
