ObituaryGregory Charles Chism, 52, of Livingston, Texas, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 24, 2023, at his home. Greg was born on April 6, 1971, in Houston, Texas, to Charlie Chism and DeLois Marie Chism. He grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from MacArthur High School in 1989. Shortly after graduation, Greg joined the U. S. Navy and proudly served our country as a Seabee. He always remembered his time in the Navy fondly and was proud to serve the United States of America. On June 10, 1994, Greg married the love of his life, Stephanie Plander. They were happily married just shy of thirty years. Greg and Steph moved to Livingston not long after they married and started their family. Cody Lane came first, followed by Hunter Dylan and Tyler Dean. Cody, Hunter, and Tyler were the apples of their Daddy's eye. Whenever you were around Greg and his boys, it was obvious how much he loved them. Greg was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He leaves behind his loving wife Stephanie, their three boys - Cody, Hunter, and Tyler, younger brother Jason and wife Stacey and his nephew Zachary. Greg is also survived by a host of extended family and friends who will miss him very much. At the wishes of his family, no service has been set at this time. The family will announce and hold a celebration of Greg's life at a later date. On behalf of the Chism family, we would like to thank everyone who has prayed for us or reached out to us in any way.
