Linda Sutton Obituary

Richmond - Linda Young Sutton, 76, formerly of Franklin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on May 6, 2023 in Sunrise of Richmond. Born in Ewing, VA, she was a daughter of the late David and Pauline Ramsey Young. She was also predeceased by her husband, Dannie Ray Sutton, Sr. ; a son, Jeffrey L. Sutton; and a sister, Brenda Sue Young Scott. Linda was a retired Information Technology Specialist with the VA Department of Health with 34 years of service. She was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dannie R. Sutton, Jr. and his wife Christy of Richmond; a sister, Gladys Young Drake and her husband Randy of Franklin; two grandchildren, Andy and Brad Sutton; Billy and Debbie Sutton of Capron, VA; Jack and Cathy Sutton of Kernersville, NC; a brother-in-law, David Scott; and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, May 13, 2023 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Faison officiating. Burial will be private.
