A visitation will be held in his honor on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS). A celebration of life will immediately follow at 5:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. Bro. Al Canon will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements. Terry was the most amazing individual anyone could have met. He was the type of person who you would just want to be around. Terry was laid back, respectful, kind hearted, and loving. He gave really great advice and could make anyone laugh with his witty characteristics. He thoroughly enjoyed cooking and hosting gatherings for his family and friends, making sure everyone was taken care of. And many can attest to how amazing his food really was. He had a true servant’s heart. While Terry loved all genres of music, his favorite band was Metallica. More than anything, Terry loved his wife, April, and their seven-year-old son, Ethan. He was a great provider and never wanted them to go without what they wanted or needed. They whiled away many afternoons constructing Lego masterpieces, having Nerf gun fights, playing Minecraft, and watching youtube videos together. The love he had for his momma was beyond words, as was his love for his whole family. His biggest passion and accomplishment was his family. From his love of being outdoors, Terry found the perfect job at Brussel’s Bonsai Nursey, were he had worked for 18 years. During his tenure at the nursery, he developed a true passion for tending Bonsai trees. He had a signature style creating Bonsai and was sought out to maintain many valuable Bonsai collections across the United States. Terry was always willing to help anyone with styling and proper seasonal care of their Bonsai. Terry will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Terry leaves behind his wife of 16 years, April Stamps of Hernando, MS; son, Ethan Stamps; mother, Diane (Hugh) Jones Bledsoe of Horn Lake, MS; father, Terry Lynn Stamps of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Crystal (Sean) Schappach of Strayhorn, MS and Cynthia Stamps of Tupelo, MS; mother-in-law, Lorrie Henderson; father-in-law, Keith (Sunny) Agner; two brother-in-laws, Anthony (April) Agner and Chris O’Neal; sixteen nieces and nephews; one great nephew; and a host of friends, all left to cherish his memory. Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie (Evelyn) Jones and Jr (Carolyn) Stamps; and his sister-in-law, Courtney Agner. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Mr. Terry Ray Stamps can be made to the Memphis Bonsai Society (make payable to Treasurer, Thomas Essmyer, 4956 Warwick Avenue, Memphis, TN 38117, memo: Terry Stamps).
