Linda Murphy Obituary

Linda F. Murphy, age 81 passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Linda was preceded by her parents David and Mary Catherine Brashear, The love of her life her husband James H Murphy, son Charles Murphy and her sister Carol Short. Linda is survived by her sons James F Murphy and Timothy L Murphy (Mary Jo) and her sister Mary Lipsey and brother Charlie Brashear (Judy). Linda worked for Jefferson County public schools Nutrition services for 20+ years at Iroquois Middle school. Linda was a favorite with many of the students because she would make sure they ate even if she took it from her own pocket. Linda loved being around her family, especially playing bunco and bingo, in the spring and summer Linda loved to work on her flowers. Linda had a strong faith and was a practicing Catholic, she attended Saint John Paul II parish and was involved at Saint John Vianney and Saint Leo parishes as well. The family asks in lieu of flowers or mementos please donate in Linda's honor to Hosparus Health of Louisville. A memorial visitation from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218, followed by a prayer service for Linda from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
