Linda Diane Kohutek joined her Lord and Savior on October 3, 2023. She began her life's journey on June 15, 1949, born to Betty Lou (Purdue) and Marvin Earl Monday, in Dallas, Texas. Her adolescence was spent in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas, where she graduated from W. W. Samuell High School in 1967. Linda retired from EMC Insurance Company after 41 years of service, where she worked as a Rate Clerk. A devoted mother, Linda poured herself into her beloved daughter, Shawna, and relished her role of grandmother to Elijah and Cassidy. Linda was highly creative and a skilled seamstress. She spent countless hours carefully constructing Halloween costumes and clothes for Shawna. Her handiwork could be seen on the dressed up stuffed bears she enjoyed creating. Linda also enjoyed shopping and looked forward to visiting the mall. Linda could often be found with a romance novel in hand, her home filled with the sounds of country music. She loved Reba McEntire, Brooks and Dunn, Toby Keith, Josh Turner, Garth Brooks, and King George. Linda always looked forward to going to the lake, and especially enjoyed trips with her parents as a child. Her love of family was instilled early, and Christmas was a cherished event, as Linda was happiest with her family gathered around her. Linda was a Believer, raised in the Southern Baptist Church by her parents. She embodied a kind, gentle sprit, always gave people the benefit of the doubt, and leaves an unwavering legacy of compassion and selflessness that can be felt by those who loved her. She adored her family, including her furbabies, more than anything and would stop at nothing to ensure they were taken care of and happy. Linda was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Betty Monday, and many aunts and uncles. Linda is survived by her beloved daughter Shawna Schrimpshere; grand children Elijah Morones and Cassidy Morones; brother Raymond Monday and wife Brenda; nieces and nephews Ashley Rose and husband David, Corey Monday, and Austin Monday. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 11AM at Capps Memorial Chapel in Fairfield, Texas. Funeral service will follow directly at 1PM. Interment will follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery.

Silveria Reyes entered the Kingdom of Heaven on December 6, 2023. She was born on May 27, 1965 to Natalia Dominguez and Juan Florentino in Texistepec, Vera Cruz, Mexico, where she grew up. Silveria dedicated her life to the service of others. A beloved wife, loving mother and grandmother, she attended her home and family with the utmost care. Known to most as Sliver, she enjoyed spending time outside with her dogs, chickens, cows, and grandchildren. In 1988 Joel Reyes Osorio took Silveria as his bride and the two shared three children - Rachel, Macaria, and Jael - and 35 love filled years with one another. Silveria was a Believer. A faithful child of God, who always put God first, she attended Vida y luz alas Naciones Church. She was also a student at DSOM Ministries. Her favorite place to me was church, and she attended every Wednesday, Sunday, and Monday. She is preceded in death by brothers Divino Florentino, Victor Florentino, and Candido Florentino. Silveria is survived by her husband Joel Reyes Osorio; daughters Rachel Reyes; Macaria Reyes Florentino, and Jael Reyes; siblings Florencia Florentino, Juan Florentino, and Macario Florentino; grandchildren Yoel Reyes, Raymundo Reyes, and Miah Reyes. Marie Lynn Smith, age 63 of Whitney. Her journey on earth peacefully ended, November 24, 2023, at her home. Marie is now in her eternal home, pain free with our glorious God. How beautiful is that. Dianna Green

Age - 65

Dianna Gayle Green (1958-2023) went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2023. She was reunited with her husband of 43 years, Terry Green. Dianna was born on June 10, 1958, in Waco Texas. She attended Lake Air elementary school then moved to Laguna Park where she would go on to graduate from Clifton High School in 1977. She would later go on to attend McLennan Community College where she earned her nursing degree. Dianna served as a nurse for the next 30 years. Giving tirelessly to her patients. She met her husband, Terry, at the age of twelve at a skating rink in Laguna Park. The two married in 1977, had two daughters, Stephanie Rae and Ashley, and would spend the rest of their lives together until Terry's passing in 2021. Dianna loved her family fiercely. She especially loved being a grandmother to Ashtin and Lela. She helped any animal she came across and was never a stranger to a cat. Dianna loved her roses, and you could find her tending to them and her animals at any given time. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry; parents, Ray and Lela and sister Charlotte. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Stephanie Rae and husband Kris Kaauamo of Leander, Ashley and husband Justin Holleman of Clifton; granddaughters, Ashtin Bree and Lela; best friend, Denise Day and so many friends and patients will miss her dearly. Anastasia Diaz entered her Heavenly Home on December 5, 2023. She was born in Kennedy, Texas on April 27, 1942, to Cristobal and Ramona Diaz. Those that knew her called her "Tasha"; she was a caring and loving woman. Tasha enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and Gun Smoke. She loved going to Walmart and attending church. A woman of faith, she was a member of the Christian - Refiners Fire Ministry. Her favorite past times were polishing her nails, coloring in her coloring books, and sorting out her jewelry. Tasha is preceded in death by her parents; Cristobal Diaz Sr and Ramona Diaz, her brothers; Hilario Diaz Sr. and David Diaz and her sister; Adelaida Campos. She is survived by her sister; Aurora Garcia and her husband Armando Garcia Sr. , her brother Cristobal Diaz Jr and his wife Esmeralda Diaz, her sister; Antonia Pena and her husband Manuel Pena. Sandra Prucnal

Age - 65

Sandra Kay Prucnal joined the Heaven Father on December 5, 2023. She was born on March 23, 1958 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Celia Jean (Lyss) and Robert Dean Schallow, though she grew up in Sussex, Wisconsin. A graduate of Hamilton High School, she continued her education with an Associates of Practical Theology from Christ for the Nations Institute, and a license of Practical Nursing from Milwaukee Area Technical Institute. Though she devoted her life to the love and care of her family, she enjoyed working with a small nonprofit, helping disabled young adults to craft ceramic Christmas ornaments. Sandra longed to be a nurse in the mission field, though she lost her sight. She was diagnosed with diabetes at the young age of eight years old. The middle child between two brothers and two sisters - she of course had a bedroom to herself. Sandra played on the church girls baseball team before losing her sight and worked at a couple of restaurants and a nursing home while attending school. Her family lovingly remembers a time when she carried her youngest brother, who had hurt his foot, about a mile while on vacation. She devoted her life to the service of others. A devoted wife and loving mother, Sandra became the beloved bride of Lance John Prucnal and the couple enjoyed three children - Charity, Chastity, and Caleb, and 40 love filled years together. She cherished her role as grandmother to her two grandchildren - Ethan and Elizabeth. Sandra lived a Christ centred life and instilled those principles in her family. The consummate homemaker, she lovingly prepared sandwiches, snacks, and chocolate pudding cookies for their family vacations. Listening to Adventures in Odyssey by Focus on the Family while they travelled were treasured memories. Sandra was very involved in Missionettes, the girls program at an Assemblies of God church where they were members, and served as the program coordinator. Her daughters fondly recall their mother helping with all the readings and memorization of Bible Verses. She helped them become "Star of Stars". Her love of baking provided many goodies at church functions where she enjoyed constructing craft projects for the children of the congregation. She carefully attended to the home and children during her husband's deployments proudly serving our country in the United States Navy. Sandra's baked good were renowned and she won several blue ribbons for her recipes as The State Fair of Texas and Wisconsin State Fair. She loved Christian Hymns, enjoyed watching Westerns and classic musicals, and attending church. Sandra leaves a legacy of warmth, devotion, and faithfulness that will be felt for generations to come. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by her father Robert Dean Schallow. Sandra is survived by her beloved husband Lance Prucnal; children Charity Prucnal, Chasity Prucnal, and Caleb Prucnal; grandchildren Ethan Cooke and Elizabeth Prucnal. James Kubala

James Raymond Kubala was born in Ennis to Roy and Georgia Kubala on October 18, 1959. He attended St. John School earning many awards for basketball and graduating with the high boy average. As a young man, he enjoyed dove hunting and fishing and later took his young nephews to fish and of course to get snow cones after school. Jim worked in grocery retail for Safeway while in high school and afterwards for 10 years. He also worked for K-Mart, HEB, and Wal Mart before finding his favorite job at Ennis Ford. Hard working, he rarely missed a day. Jim was a member of KJT and Sokol and was a friend to everyone. He loved 70's and 80's music, singing karaoke, and cooking the best barbecue ribs anywhere. He was a beloved member of his family and will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his siblings and their spouses: Annette and Carlyle Locke, Rosalyn and Ron Leahy, Alice Lunkwicz, Cynthia and Mark Forney, and Philip and Tamara Kubala. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, December 8, 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery. Joe Gragg

Age - 84

Joe Willard Gragg Jr. passed away on November 29, 2023 from natural causes surrounded by his family. He was born October 7, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to J. Willard Gragg and Mildred Hood Gragg. He grew up in Oak Cliff, Texas. Joe attended George Peabody Elementary, Rosemont Elementary, Griner Jr. High School, and Sunset High School. He attended college at Arlington State College now known as University of Texas at Arlington. After college he was drafted into the United States Army; after basic training he received orders to report to Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D. C. where he was assigned to the department of hazardous operations. It was there where he joined Colonel Raymond Randall, Vinton R. Harrison, and Sergeant Harvey Leon Gibson working in a lab developing vaccines for several viruses from Southeast Asia. The lab was located at the historic Forest Glen Seminary that the army acquired during World War II. While stationed at Forest Glen he met his wife to be, Nan Elizabeth Kohler. They were married on April 10, 1964. Their first daughter Sharon was born at Walter Reed Hospital. After he was discharged from the Army they moved back to Dallas where they eventually settled in DeSoto, Texas. They had two more daughters, Diane and Tracy, to make their family complete. He had a 30 year career with the Campbell Soup Company and retired as an Account Manager. He decided on a second career and went to work for the DeSoto Police Department retiring there as the evening shift supervisor over the jail. Joe led a full and busy life. He joined the Boy Scouts where he later earned the honors of Eagle Scout. He was also a commercial pilot and flight instructor with multi engine and instrument ratings. He learned to Sky Dive with his son-in-law when he was 48 and continued to jump well into his 70's. One of his many passions was taking care of his yard, mechanics, and all of his pets. Joe is preceded in death by: His Parents, his Sister Virginia Diane Watson, his Daughter Diane Virginia Nelson, and his Son-in-law Danny Robertson. He is survived by his Wife Nan Gragg, Daughters Sharon Robertson, and Tracy Gragg. His Grandchildren Courtney Meyn, Brittany Peterson, Tyson Beechum, Jordan Beechum, Austin Beechum, Abigail Nelson, and CJ Nelson. And six Great Grandchildren.Show more

Brenda Alexander

Brenda Jo Alexander united with her Lord and Savior on November 18, 2023. She was born June 10, 1962, to Betty Jean (Degarmo) and Robert Lee Smith in Weirton, West Virginia. Brenda was a superhero mom who devoted her life to the love and care of her family, and in service of others. She cherished her children, Nicole and Justin, and relished her role of grandmother to her eight grandchildren. Selfless and resilient, she could do things no other human would image, without fear and with the utmost grace. Brenda touched the lives of many through her long career in education; most recently at Maypearl ISD where she was affectionately known as "Bulldog" by her school friends. She could often be found knitting or watching her favorite show - Andy Griffith. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially at the lake with her husband and dinner with her family. In 2009 Brenda took Dennis Alexander as her beloved husband and the couple shared 11 love filled years together before his passing. Christmas was an extra special occasion for the couple, as Brenda delighted in Dennis donning a Santa costume to take pictures with the kids. It was her favorite time of year. Brenda was a Believer. Her immense faith served as inspiration to her children, leaving a legacy of perseverance, grace, and trust in the Lord that will be felt for many generations to come. She was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Dennis Alexander. Brenda is survived by her loving children Nicole Huckaby and fiance Chris Alphin and Justin Huckaby and wife Paige; sister Robyn Moore; brother Al Smith and wife Tina; bonus children Denis Carlson and Jenise Francis; and grandchildren Peyton, Austin, Tatum, Jax, Bella, Autumn, Addy, and Serenity. Our beloved Dad, Husband, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather James Lee Cleveland was born September 28, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas and went home to be with our Lord and Savior on November 21 , at his home in Hillsboro, Texas. James Cleveland is proceeded in death by his wife Sherry Lynn Cleveland and his parents Adair and Beverly Cleveland, his brother Tommy Cleveland of California and his daughter Sheryle Cleveland of Oklahoma. He is survived by his son John Thomas Cleveland of Grand Prairie, daughters Tammy Sue Diseker of McKinney, Terri Lynn Schmidt of Austin, Tina Lee Landin and Husband Benny of Hillsboro. Patricia Saunders

Age - 83

Patricia Kay Saunders was born on March 22, 1940 in Dallas, Texas to James Winfrey Newberry and Edna Catherine Blackman. She went home to be with the Lord on her husband's birthday November 16, 2023. Pat grew up as the oldest sister to four other siblings. Her mom passed away when she was three years old, so naturally she became the boss of the other kids. Her childhood was full of adventures and hardships which made her into the Wife, Mom, Grandma and Granny that she became. She married the love of her life, Robert David Saunders on July 26, 1956 at the ripe age of 16 years old. They loved each other with all that they had. They built a family and home together having three children Robert, Michael, and Cathy. They loved traveling and camping and spending time fishing anywhere they could find. After the kids moved on, Pat and David helped to raise their granddaughter April, which brought on more adventures. David passed in November of 1993 and Pat never remarried, he was truly the love of her life. Pat enjoyed many things in life. She enjoyed traveling, she enjoyed working and doing things right, she enjoyed her gardening and planting wildflowers, she enjoyed bird watching and seeing the things that God had created, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and mostly in her later years she enjoyed being waited on. She did not enjoy cooking or cleaning and was often teased about those two words being Pat's "bad words". She cared for those that needed to be cared for, even if it cost her more than she had at times. She was loved by all that knew her, she was a sweet soul that knew the Lord and lived a simple life to the fullest. Pat is survived by her sisters Delores and Donna, her son Robert, Her granddaughter April, as well as many great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Michael, her daughter Cathy and her husband David. The family would like to thank Bristol hospice for their amazing care as well as Boze- Mitchell Funeral home for their hospitality and support through this time.
