Linda Johnson Obituary

CORDELE - Linda Pheil Johnson, 63, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at Crisp Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11a. m. , Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Arabi Cemetery. Rev. Joe Brookshire will officiate the service. Mrs. Johnson was born in Cordele, Georgia, to the late Clarence Pheil and Sallie Mae Mathis Pheil. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Roger Pheil and Ricky Pheil. She was a Georgia Southwestern State University graduate and retired Crisp County Middle School educator. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy which she attended as her health permitted. Other hobbies included playing card games, fishing, and hunting. She was a lover of animals and was known for her rescue of cats. She is survived by her son: Jason Tharpe and his wife Alaina of Grapevine, Texas; her sister: Patricia Baker and her husband Donald of Cordele; her soon to arrive granddaughter, Kaleia Lennon Tharpe; her nephews: Brian Pheil and Dion Baker; and her niece: Candy Baker.
