Linda Lou Guyton Ingle, 78, resided in Athens, AL, formally of Carbon Hill, Passed away, Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital. Family will be receiving friends Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 2 until 4 p. m. , at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Linda grew up in Cordova, AL attending Cordova High, graduating in 1963. She played piano and enjoyed singing with the choir at Cordova Free Will Baptist Church and in College Singers while attending Walker College in Jasper, AL. She worked at Arrow Shirt Factory in Jasper until she married Tom and became a homemaker and mother. She was a devoted wife and mother supporting her husband while he began his own auto mechanic business and wrecker service. They both worked tirelessly building their own home. Linda was an experienced seamstress and could sew anything suggested. She outfitted her girls through life and even sewed cheerleader, color guard uniforms and prom/pageant dresses. She made beautiful floral arrangements for any occasion and could eat her weight in catfish and hushpuppies. Her passion was reading and she had quite a book collection. After the passing of her husband she worked at Walmart and then JcPenney until she retired. She moved to Athens where she lived for her grand and great grandchildren. She was never happier than when they were entertaining her. She loved to laugh and always said "the more the merrier" when hosting holiday gatherings. Everyone was welcome. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 26 years, Thomas Ray Ingle; infant great grandson Truman Kampbell Gilbert; infant great grandchild, baby Young; parents, Thurman Woodrow Guyton and Lillie Marie Jones Guyton; brother, Charlie Gerald Guyton. She is survived by her daughters; Angela Ingle Price (Steve) and Nicole Ingle Graves (Alan); grandchildren, Kaitlyn Price Gilbert (Nathan), Krista Graves Young (Zack), Austin Price and Jennifer Graves Weaver; great grandchildren, Lily Young, Emmie Gilbert, Rhett Weaver and Colton Young; siblings, Etta Jane White (Jerry), David Guyton (Regina), Don Guyton (Katrinka), and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Heart Association or Diabetes Foundation.
