Linda J. Cooper, 66, of Lexington, went to her eternal rest on September 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born to the late Helen Epting and John Dempsey Jeffcoat of South Congaree, South Carolina, she attended Airport High School and went on to marry the love of her life, Conrad, in 1976. She was employed by Lexington School District One as a bus driver for 18 years. She was also a lifetime member of Woodmen of the World and PUFF (Partners United in Firefighting). Her generosity knew no bounds when it came to family, friends, neighbors, or even strangers. She ministered through her love of cooking and loved spoiling her nieces, nephews, and God-daughter. Some would say that Linda's signature dish was her macaroni and cheese. Others would argue that her homemade dressing or fried chicken was the best. Regardless, no one would disagree that her desserts and taco dip were legendary and she would never let anyone leave hungry. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Conrad M. Cooper; sister, Barbara J. Watford of Myrtle Beach; brother-in-law, Wofford Cooper (Stephanie); sisters-in-law, Amanda Cooper Dupree, and Dee Dee Fogle (Matt); nieces, Danielle Watford, Christie Watford Suggs (Kevin) Chelsea Elkins (Lex); nephews, Stan Watford (Ashley), Cody Cooper, Blake Cooper, Carson Cooper, Johnathan Dupree (Mary Catherine) ; great-nieces, Alyssa Watford, Grace Suggs, Reagan Elkins; great-nephews, Brayden Watford and Deacon Elkins; and goddaughter, Hannah Fogle. In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by a sister, Wanda Faye Jeffcoat and a brother-in-law, Michael S. Watford. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family. Online register at barr-price. com
