Linda Boreen Obituary

"Linda Lee Boreen, age 74, of Maplewood, died Friday, April 28, 2023, at the M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital in Maplewood. A memorial service will be held on a later date at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel. The interment of the urn will be held at the Lake Arvilla Cemetery on a later date. There will be a one-hour visitation prior to the service at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel. The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel is in charge of the memorial arrangements. Linda Lee Boreen, the daughter of Robert and Betty (Olson) Boreen was born on February 17, 1949, at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis. Linda grew up in the Dassel where she was baptized in the Christian faith. Linda attended the Minnesota State Academy for the Blind in Faribault for her education. Linda was employed at Lutheran Brotherhood for several years. She had also been employed as a debt collector for a collection agency. Linda enjoyed spending time during the holidays and visiting with her family and friends. She was a talented musician who had a wonderful voice and was often asked to perform. She loved knitting, reading, and spending time on her ipad. She is survived by her sister, Wendy Isakson of Dassel and a nephew, Jess Isakson of Dassel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Betty Boreen, and a brother-in-law, John Isakson. "
