Lillibelle Shipwash Shinault, age 75 of Wytheville VA went to her heavenly home Sunday April 23, 2023. Born September 8, 1947, in Wytheville VA, she was the daughter of the late Clayton Franklin and Mary Margaret Aker Shipwash. Lillibelle had a lifelong love of music. She played piano from an early age. She sang in the Mt Zion Choir for many years. She also sang with her husband and their friends Jim and Teri White for many years. Later on, she and her husband sang with their two daughters. She was a lifelong member of Mt Zion Community Church. She loved collecting bells, dolls, and cream and sugar sets. In her healthier years, she was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a well-loved member of the Piney Community where she lived most of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wilbert Alton "Jake" Shinault, her sister Ruby Fern "Sue" Shipwash, her honorary grandson Christopher Lee Atwood. Survivors include: her daughters Andrea Christine Shinault and Sharon Sue Shinault Groseclose and husband James "Con" Groseclose all of Wytheville VA; grandchildren, James "Culley" Groseclose and wife Lindsey Henley Groseclose, Ali Burke Fariss and husband Jacob, all of Wytheville VA, Victoria Corvin and Fiance Matt Grubb of Pulaski VA, William Rand Hawley of Buffalo NY, and Leila Catherine Groseclose and Courtland Carrico of Wytheville VA, great grandchildren, Virginia June and Zoey Nyx Groseclose, Meraliana Lenay Corvin, Bentley Alton Fariss and Newest edition for stork delivery Isabella Hope Fariss in October 2023 and Many special friends and honorary grandchildren, Derek, Ryan Atwood, and Danazia Hope Owens, brother Barry Clayton Shipwash and wife Kelley of Wytheville VA, and sister Angela Clay Shipwash Shelton and husband Rhea of Chester VA. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Mt Zion Community Church at 5 p. m. Friends may call Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 3 P. M. to 5 p. m. at Mt Zion Community Church Barnett Funeral Home is serving the Shinault family.
