Lillian Viola Sophia Peltz, age 100, of Belle Plaine, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2022, at her home. Funeral service will be at 11 a. m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine officiated by Rev. Martin Bentz. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday morning. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. Lillian was born in Hamburg on December 29, 1921, to Herman and Emma (Bergmann) Panning. She was baptized in the home the same day. She was confirmed in German by Pastor H. Bowman on April 14, 1935. On October 3, 1943, she married Allen Peltz in Young America. She then traveled with her new husband while he served in the military. The couple then settled in Belle Plaine. Lillian was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine where she was a faithful member and served on the Ladies Aid for many years. Lillian was an avid gardener and took great pride and joy in her flowers and garden, sharing with friends and family. She also loved the outdoors and bird watching. She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen, her parents Herman and Emma, sisters, Hilda Brandt and Hattie Drier and brothers, Arnold Panning, Weldon Panning and Elmer Panning. Lillian is survived by her three loving children, Gary Peltz, Karen (Rod) Bauer and Scott Peltz. She was a loving grandmother to Megan (Bryan) Purdy, Allison (Jason) Morgan, Andrew Peltz, Greg (Indrani) Rosario and Jose Bodon. She was a wonderful great grandmother to Declan and Charlotte (Megan) Purdy and Kai, Kruz and Kohyn (Allison) Morgan. To to the family, please
