Lester L. Vandermark Jr. , 85, of Berwick, went to be with the Lord, Friday June 17, 2022, at the Geisinger Medical Center Danville. Lester was born April 16, 1937, in Berwick, a son of the late Lester L. and Inez (Roderick) Vandermark Sr. Lester attended Berwick schools and served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Silvonic Club, he enjoyed gardening, Berwick football and served as equipment manager during the Coach Curry years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lester loved his animals especially his cats. Lester is survived by his wife Janet (Force) Vandermark whom he married on March 13, 1976, also a son, John Edward Vandermark and his wife Beate of Belize, three daughters, Bonnie K. Vandermark-Geary and her husband Mike Geary, Lesley Jo Dawson of Bloomsburg, Linda K. Vandermark of Kingston, two step-daughters, Sue Ellen Zunga of Columbus, OH, Robyn Donaway of Des Moines IA, nine grandchildren, Max Vandermark-Geary, Will Vandermark-Geary, Erika Reichert, Angela Skwarek, Chad Vandermerk, Michelle Rhynehart, Deana Gross, Valeen Hykes, Leslie Vandermark, twenty one great grandchildren, and a sister Evelyn Rizzo. Services will be held Sunday June 26, 2022 at 11:00 am, from the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 1024 N. Market St. Berwick Pa. 18603, with his son, John Vandermark officiating, Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service.
