Leroy Smith, 79, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Saturday, September 9th, while in the company of family, at T J Samson Hospital, Glasgow, KY. Leroy was born in Metcalfe County, KY on February 20, 1944, a son of the late Evelyn (Syra) and Howard Smith. Leroy was a farmer, in his early years a truck driver in Louisville, Member of the Monroe County Fisical Court 3 terms, worked for the Monroe County Road Dept. & was Baptized at Cyclone church of christ. Leroy is survived by grand- daughter, Erica, wife of Terry Eldridge, grand- son,Caleb, husband of Chelsea Smith & daughter-in-law, Wendy Smith, all of Tompkinsville, KY; step son,Wesley, husband of Danielle Bray, of Tompkinsville, KY; 5 great-grandchildren, Braxton & Nolan Eldridge, Liam & Kyle Smith & Madeline Bray. Leroy is also survived by a sister, Lola Curry, of Edmonton, KY; a brother, Louis Underwood, husband of Betty Smith, of Edmonton, KY. several nieces, nephews & many friends. His Parents, Howard & Evelyn Smith, son, Jeff Smith, brothers, Jim & Charlie Smith & nephews, David Harris & Michael Smith preceded him in death. Funeral Service will be held 12 Noon on Wednesday, September 13th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. Bryan Humphrey will officiate. Helen was born in Metcalfe County, KY, on September 5, 1950, a daughter of the late Callie Jewell (Grissom) McIntyre and Charles "Doc" McIntyre. Helen enjoyed Friday and Saturday night dancing with Ernie, flowers and gardening. Helen is survived by a son, David William Gentry, and his companion, April, of Bowling Green, KY; her companion of 27 years, Ernie Bottom of Edmonton, KY; several nieces and nephews and her special niece, Connie Young. Dolores was born in Veracruz, Mexico on October 20, 1970, a daughter of Fortunata Gonzalez Rojas and Agustin Garcia Rosas. She was a seamstress for Stitches, Inc. Lois Annette (Greer) Garvey, 61, of Cave City, KY passed away Sunday, November 19th, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Lois was born in Bowling Green, KY on February 4, 1962, a daughter of the late Lois (Sandifer) and James Eldon Greer. She worked as a nurse at Home Health for over 20 years. Lois married Frank Garvey on September 20, 2003 at Little Chapel of the West in Las Vegas, NV. Lois is survived by her husband, Frank Garvey of Cave City, KY; a daughter, Jennifer Ginn, of South Carolina ; a son, Jason Hibbs, of Missouri; three step sons Christopher Garvey , of Burkesville, KY ; Frank Vidall, of Phoenix, AZ and Matthew Garvey, of Lexington, KY. Mary Doyle (Proffitt) Brown, 92, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Tuesday, November 14th, surrounded by her family at Monroe County Medical Center. Mary Doyle was born in the Forkton Community of Monroe County, KY, on September 5, 1931, a daughter of the late Gladys (High) and Ralph O. Proffitt. Mary Doyle was a teacher for the Monroe County Board of Education for 36. 33 years. She was a graduate of Campbellsville University and Western Kentucky University. She started teaching in a one room school at Brushy Point, she later taught at Fountain Run and Gamaliel Schools. Mary Doyle was a member of Monroe County Retired Teachers Association. She loved to preserve the past through antiques. Mary Doyle enjoyed flowers, cheering on Cincinnati Reds and UK, and watching golf. Mary Doyle always decorated her front yard and home for every season. She was a member of Freewill Church of Christ. On February 8, 1952, she married Billie Ray Brown in Indianapolis, IN. Billy Ray preceded her in death on November 21, 2003. Mary Doyle is survived by a daughter, Danita Spear, and husband, Tony; two sons, Rickie Brown, and wife, JoAnn, and Chan Brown, and wife, Mindy, all of Tompkinsville, KY; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Brown, of Scottsville, KY; three grandchildren, Emily Brown Shaw, and husband, Tyler, Amanda Brown and Evan Brown and two great grandchildren, Kiptyn and Tucker Shaw. Mary Doyle is also survived by a brother, Carlie Mack Proffitt, and wife, Janice Graves, of Tompkinsville, KY and William Donald Proffitt, and wife, Sandy of Indiana. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Brown and one grandson, Richard Joseph Brown. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18th at 1:00 p. m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, burial will follow at the Neal Cemetery. Pauline Williams, 89, of Glasgow, KY and formerly of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 15th, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Pauline was born in Somerset, KY on March 6, 1934, a daughter of the late Sherilda (Taylor) and Elveta Mink. She worked at Red Kap for over 40 years. Pauline was a member of Monroe Baptist. She married Clurie Williams on October 2, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN. Clurie preceded her in death on June 16, 2010. Pauline is survived by two sons Larry Williams, and wife, Donna, of Glasgow, KY and Charles Williams (Regina Ballard) of Tompkinsville, KY; 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Pauline is also survived by a sister, Willean Bilbrey, of Greenwood, IN. Other than her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Guy Williams and a daughter, Karen Williams. Rockie Randall Evans, 61, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away suddenly Thursday, November 9th, at Monroe County Medical Center. Rockie was born in Tompkinsville, KY on December 21, 1961, a son of Joyce (Hartley) Evans and the late Randall "Bill" Evans. On April 6, 1985, he married Patricia (Blythe) Evans. He was a 1981 graduate of Tompkinsvile High School. He worked at Hagan and Stone for over 35 years, where he was a Assistant Foreman. Rockie enjoyed hunting, and he loved life and especially anything that involved his grandchildren. Rockie is survived by his wife, Patricia Evans, a daughter, Julie Wheeler, mother, Joyce Evans, and two grandchildren, Lilly Wheeler and Mattie Muse, all of Tompkinsville, KY. Edward "Edd" Marshall Turner, 85, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Tuesday, November 7th, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Edd was born in Tompkinsville, KY on February 12, 1938, a son of the late Blanche (Denham) and Levy B. Turner. Edd married Carolyn Emmert Turner on May 6, 1956 in Rockbridge. Carolyn preceded him in death on November 20, 2015. Edd worked as a mechanic and started at a early age, even before 16. He was a mechanic all throughout his life at various places. Before moving back to Tompkinsville, he worked at Chevrolet in Shelbyville, IN; after moving back home, he worked at Landrum Motors, the Ford garage in Grandview, Ford and Chrysler in Lafayette, TN, Ford in Tompkinsville and then worked fro himself for many years. Edd enjoyed hunting, fishing, dryland fish hunting and raising a garden. Edd is survived by two daughters, Karen York, and husband, Dale, of Albany, KY; Sharon Grider, and husband, Teddy, of Tompkinsville, KY; three sons Tommy Turner, and wife, Wanda, of Tompkinsville, KY; Eddie Turner, and wife, Bonnie, of Gamaliel, KY and Kenny Turner, and wife, Carolyn, of Tompkinsville, KY; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Sheffield, and wife, Amanda, Laura Lee Whited, and husband, Chad, Jarred Grider, and wife, Jennifer, Taylor Grider White, and husband, Aaron, and Kelsey Turner; and 5 great grandchildren, Griffin Sheffield, Emery Whited,Ethan Whited, Liam White and Layla White. Shana graduated from Barren County High School in 2009 and worked as a Team Lead Authorization Specialist at T. J. Samson Community Hospital.
