Leroy Maynard Obituary

Rev. Leroy Maynard, Jr. Of Neibert, WV Rev. Leroy Maynard, Jr. , 61, of Neibert, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2023. He was born on April 17, 1962, at Logan, the son of Leroy Maynard, Sr. of Crown and the late Gail Frances Maynard. Leroy was a retired surface miner who loved spending time hunting with his son. His biggest passion was preaching. Rev. Maynard was a licensed minister in the Church of God, a member of the Man Church of God, where he served as Sunday School Superintendant and on several church councils. Leroy was a devout family man. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Margie Maynard; his father, Leroy Maynard, Sr. of Crown; three daughters, Cheryl (Mike) Bailey of Springfield, OH, Amber (Dustin) Maynard of Pinecreek, and Nicole (PJ) VanAelest of Crown; one son, Corey Maynard of Neibert; one brother, Jeff (Patty) Maynard of Salem, VA; eight grandchildren, Sarah (Austin) Defoe of Kettering, OH, Caleb Bailey of Springfield, OH, Noah Musick, Emma, Colt, and Henry VanAelst, all of Crown, Elaina and Abel Schanz; three great-grandchildren, Landin, Coltin, and Oaklee along with many wonderful nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p. m. Thursday, at the Church of God at Man. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p. m. on Friday, May 12, 2023, with Rev. Herbie Pruitt, Rev. Bobby Maxwell, Brother Herb Pruitt, Sr. , and Brother Terry Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Pallbearers will be family.
