Leroy Bergeron Obituary

Leroy Joseph Bergeron, age 89, of Marrero, Louisiana passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. Leroy was preceded in death by his beloved spouse of 64 years, Deanna Bruno Bergeron; parents Henry and Anita Bergeron; sisters Stella LeBouef (Lucius), Alice Babin (Leon), Doris Comardelle (Roy), and Thelma Ourso (Pat); brothers Stanley Bergeron, Clifton Bergeron (Mabel), and Henry Bergeron (Lillian); and grandchildren Chad Gusevik and Rodney Bergeron. Leroy is survived by daughters Julie Gusevik and Donna Smith (Perry); son Richard Bergeron (Debra); grandchildren Mindy Sorrels, Rune Gusevik (Tonya), Dani Smith, Dana Comeaux (William), and Randy Bergeron; great-grandchildren Todd Tidwell, Jared Smith, Cristina Sabo, Olivia Mendoza, Andreas Gusevik, Tobias Gusevik, Espen Comeaux, and Evelynn Gusevik; and various nieces and nephews. A servant of our Navy as a Radioman Seaman in Beachmaster Unit One and Halliburton Services locally, in Norway, and in Egypt, Leroy will be dearly missed. A visitation and memorial service will be held at Visitation of Our Lady Church, 3500 Ames Blvd. , Marrero, LA 70072 and interment will be held at a later date.
