Leon A. Sawicki, Jr., 83, of Clark, entered into eternal on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral from the Walter Johnson Funeral Home, 803 Raritan Rd., Clark, on Monday, April 29 beginning with Visitation from 9:30 - 10:30 am, thence to St. Agnes Church, Clark, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Leo was born in Elizabeth to Pauline (Valaitis) and Leon A. Sawicki, Sr. He proudly served his country in the Army. He was a lifelong resident of Clark. He was a member of the VFW Post # 1397 and the Polish Legion of American Veterans Post #91both of Linden Leo was a Foreman/Supervisor at Liquid Carbonic Company of Linden for 35 years. He then worked at the family owned business, Clean Bright of Clark for several years. He was a devoted fan of the Giants, Mets, Seton Hall Pirates and Union Catholic Volleyball. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, trips to Atlantic City, the racetracks and his Friday night poker games. Leo was predeceased by his beloved wife Zoe (Sakowicz) Sawicki and his brothers, Adam and Thomas Sawicki. He is survived by his devoted children, Mark Fedorczyk and his wife Annemarie, Suzanne Fedorczyk, Richard Fedorczyk and Pamela Sawicki and Jason Harden; his cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Alexandria and Taylor; his sister Geraldine Tomchek and his dear companion Judy Shuta.
