Leola J. Jenks, age 83, of Wild Rose, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Rosemore Village. She was born May 29, 1939 to Charles and Madeline (Eilert) Lipke in the Town of Lind, where she remained for her childhood. On June 20, 1959 she was united in marriage to Daniel Jenks and together raised two children. She loved her family trips up north to Post Lake, where she enjoyed fishing. Leola absolutely loved children (especially babies) and worked in the nursery at Wild Rose Hospital. She later worked at Shelmet in Wild Rose. Her hobbies included making ceramics, crocheting afghans, and she was also a talented wedding cake decorator. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include husband, Daniel; children, Debra (David) Piechowski of Redgranite and Allen (Paula) Jenks of Wild Rose; grandchildren: Timothy Piechowski (fiance Darci Powless), Thomas (Ashley) Piechowski, Brent Jenks, Erin (Andy) Kirwan and Kristin Jenks. She is further survived by 13 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Lucille Lipke of Waupaca, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Leola was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence Lipke and Irven (Lila) Lipke; and a sister, Beatrice Lipke. The memorial service will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca, with Pastor Brian Roehrborn officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a. m. until the time of the service.
