Clementine T. (Teenie) Suders, age 87, passed away peacefully December 5, 2023 at the Muncy Place. Born on April 17, 1936 in Gallitzin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Josephine (Ritucci) DeCarlo. In a shoe factory in Altoona, she met the man she would marry and start a family with- a family that would continue growing for decades. On October 1, 1955 in St. Mary's Church in Gallitzin, PA, she and Richard ("Dick") Suders were married. They went on to raise 8 children and were just 3 months short of celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary when Dick passed away. If you ever came to visit Teenie, you did not leave hungry or empty handed. Whether she had a house full of kids or a repairman fixing the sink, she could always be found cooking a big meal with a fresh pot of coffee brewing. When she wasn't in the kitchen, she was volunteering at her church or local nursing home. She loved to help others. She worked many years in various restaurants until she and Dick opened their own business, Suders Convenience Store, where many of her customers affectionately called her "Mom. " Upon her retirement, she unselfishly cared for Dick until his death, just as she unselfishly lived her whole life. Her greatest pride were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Alzheimer's robbed her of enjoying many years with her growing family. Teenie is survived by her children, Richard Jr. , Harry, Joseph (Sook), Robert (Mary), David, Matthew, Lisa, and Tina (David) Shay; 24 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild. Those numbers continue to grow. In addition to her children, she is survived by her dear siblings, her sisters: Matilda Capoullez, Rita (Dugan) McCloskey, Anna Marie LaJudice; her brother, Dewey (Janet) DeCarlo; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received Friday, December 8, 2023 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 3 E. Walnut St. , Lock Haven from 11am-1pm with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following.
