Lee Waters of Cromwell, CT passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of December 25, 2022. Lee was born on December 10, 1934 in the Bronx Hospital in New York City, son to Frederick R. and Mary Satzman Waters. Shortly thereafter, he and his parents moved to Cromwell. Lee grew up on River Road with his parents and brothers. He studied carpentry at Vinal Tech and afterward joined the Carpenter's Union, which he was a member of for 44 years. Lee served in the United States Navy for eight years and spent time in the Mediterranean and Lebanon. Lee was a man of many talents. He was an avid fisherman and his favorite place to fish was off High Bridge Road in Ormond Beach, Florida. He was also a skilled duck hunter and a member of the Cromwell Game Club for many years. Lee used to reminisce about the early days trapping muskrats with his father in the swamps off River Road. Lee spent his later years living with and caring for his mother, Mary. He treasured their time together, especially the winters they spent in Ormond Beach. A special thank you to the staff at Apple Rehab in Cromwell, the many people at the Veterans Administration, especially John the pharmacist, the staff at Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute, and the Cromwell first responders. A very heartfelt thank you to his cousin, Robin Roy. Lee leaves behind his brothers, Richie Waters, Allan Waters and his wife, Lori; two nieces, Lynn Trepanier and her husband, Brett, and Pam Waters Porter; and two nephews, Brian Waters and Allan (Robert) Waters; and three great-nieces and four great-nephews.
