Rev. Lester Caudill age 61 of Flat Lick, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Baptist Health Corbin. He is the son of Hobert and Dora (Saylor) Caudill. He was born on January 13, 1962. He was the pastor of Pigeon Roost Holiness Church, he loved going to church, reading the Bible and preaching Gods Word. He also enjoyed wood working, fishing, UK sports, time with grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Hobert and Dora Caudill, two siblings Doyle Caudill, Carl Caudill, one grandchild Madison Jane Caudill, one niece Regina Gail Grubb. Left behind to mourn his passing his wife Patricia Carol (Cameron) Caudill, three children Lester Caudill Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Middlesboro, Kentucky, Steven Caudill and wife Ashleigh of Flat Lick, Kentucky, Chana Aline Caudill and Brandon McMichael of Barbourville, Kentucky, one sister Chana Grubb and husband Lester of Flat Lick, Kentucky, four grandchildren Ariiyanna Caudill, Brooklyn Rae Caudill, Bryleigh Jae Caudill, Joshua Matthew Caudill. Funeral services for Rev. Lester Caudill will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 12:00 p. m. with Rev. A. B. Smallwood, Rev. Buddy Durham, Rev. Lester Grubb, Rev. Ron Saylor officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Roark Cemetery at Pigeon Roost, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Lester Caudill Jr. , Steven Caudill, Lester Grubb, Brandon McMichael, Ethan Patterson, Randy Patterson. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5:30 until 9:00 p. m. and Thursday, from 10:00 a. m. until 9:00 p. m. then Friday from 10:00 a. m. until the hour of service at 12:00 p. m. The family would like to give special thanks to Pigeon Roost Holiness Church, Buddy Durham, Morris Mullins, A. B. Smallwood, Baptist Health Corbin, Kentucky. , 75, of Himyar, passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 14, 2023 at Baptist Health Lexington. He was the son of the late Arnold and Maggie Dunn Hammons born June 6, 1948 in Knox County. Arnold was a self employed painter and of the Baptist faith. He was truly the jack of all trades and loved working with his hands. He believed in the value of common sense and was a quick learner. He could complete any job after receiving instructions only once. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of many good friends. On December 30, 1972, he united in marriage with Anna Lois Cooper. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Anna, nephew Charles Callebs and brother-in-law, Michael Hammons. Survivors include his loving siblings, JoAnn Miser and husband, J. R. , of Morristown, TN, Rosetta Callebs of Lexington and Eugene Hammons and wife, Jody, of Sanford, FL; niece, Deanna Stout; nephews, Darrell Callebs and Jim Hammons; among other loved ones and numerous dear friends. His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home at 11 A. M. with Rev. Tim Phipps officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Hammons Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers are family and friends. Serving as honorary bearers are his cousins. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday after 10 A. M. until the funeral hour. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Baptist Health Lexington and Bluegrass Hospice Care for the excellent care they provided to Arnold.
