Lawrence Winborne Obituary

Lawrence Dewey Winborne, 67 of Sudlersville, MD passed away on May 8, 2023 at Bay Health-Kent General. Lawrence was born on January 19, 1956 in Norfolk, VA, son of the late Alpheous L and Bessie Seward Winborne. He was raised in the Tidewater area of Virginia until his family moved to Barclay. He was a 1975 graduate of Queen Anne's High School. He began his career with Delmarva Sash and Door and moved to F Scott J. Inc, with specialty woodwork, and returned to DSD now REEB, doing quoting. He loved hunting, fishing and fast cars, especially NASCAR and was a diehard Earnhardt fan. He was a member of the NRA. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sue J. Purnell Winborne; a sister Ruth Kennedy (Everett Jr. ) and a brother John Winborne (Kristy) all of Barclay; 3 nephews, Everett "Trey' Kennedy, III, Dustin Kennedy and Hayden Winborne; a niece Kolby Lynn Winborne and a great niece, Brinleigh Kennedy. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 12, from 6 to 8 pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12 pm. Burial will follow in Sudlersville Cemetery.
