Theresa M. Gusovius Theresa M. (Quinn) Gusovius , 72 , of Conshohocken , PA passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 . She was born in Philadelphia , Pa on March 8, 1951 , the daughter of the late William T. and the late Theresa ( Metzinger ) Quinn . Teri has lived in Conshohocken since 1978, formerly of the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, Pa. She was a member of St. Matthew's RC Church of Conshohocken, where she taught CCD for may years. Teri graduated from John Hallahan High School. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and traveling. Most of all she loved her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. She was a Homemaker and had also worked with Fund Plan investment company. She was the beloved wife of Edwin J. Gusovius for over 52 years. Survivors include Husband Edwin J. Gusovius of Conshohocken, Son Edwin Gusovius of Warrington, Son Timothy (Laurie) Gusovius of Lansdale, Daughter Lisa (Philip) Boccella of King of Prussia, also survived by her grandchildren Brandon Boccella and Jordyn Boccella, Brother William Quinn, Sister Mary Anne Quinn, Sister Dolores Quinn, Sister Suzanne Burlinghame, Brother Robert (Carol) Quinn, Sister Retta (Richard) Strickland, Brother Francis (Nicole) Quinn. And her dog Daisy Mae. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Vincent "VJ" Quinn. George Howard Herman of East Norriton passed away peacefully at home on November 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 65 on . Born November 14, 1958 to the late George J. and Mary (nee Owens) Herman; George was the beloved husband of Donna (nee Bickings); loving father of Robert Herman (Stacy), Michelle Copestick (Douglas), Keri Herman (Chris), and Samantha Hustler (Adrian); cherished grandfather of Bobby, Sean, Hailey, Alaina, Chase, Madison, Julian, Jackson, and Alexis; caring great-grandfather of Anthony; and dear brother of Mary Scharff, Susan Horning, Steve Herman Sr. , Thomas Herman, and Dorothy Benz-Wang. George attended St. Mary's of the Assumption School then graduated from W. B Saul High School. George then served in the U. S Army for four years (March 8, 1977 to March 7, 1981). After his honorable discharge he met Donna and went on to be married for 38 years. In those years they raised four wonderful children. He was a hardworking man; in his leisure time George enjoyed taking trips, going on cruises, and camping at Sun Valley Campground. He also enjoyed cooking and barbecuing, especially at the yearly seafood parties. He was loved by everyone he came into contact with. Relatives and friends are invited to George's Life Celebration on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 10 AM to 11:15 AM, followed by his memorial service at 11:30 AM at the Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 W. She is survived by her Companion Robert H. John K. Murray John K. Murray, 68, beloved husband of Deborah (Becker) of Harbeson, DE passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. John was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 23, 1955, the son of the late Kenneth and the late Dolores (McGinnis) Murray. He later moved to King of Prussia, PA, graduating from Upper Merion High School in 1973 and from Wilmington College in 1978 with a BS in Criminal Justice. John's passion for Criminal Justice led him to achieve two very esteemed careers in his lifetime. The first with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, spanned over 34 years and saw him rise from a Corrections Officer Trainee at Graterford Prison to being appointed Regional Deputy Secretary of Corrections by Governor Tom Corbett in 2013. John was respected by subordinates and superiors alike. Known for his "Open Door" policy, John was a great mentor, always willing to listen and advise. Highly regarded in so many ways, his opinion was often sought by many, even after his retirement. As an Army Intel Analyst, Staff Sergeant John K. Murray served with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in the 1 Battalion, 111th Infantry in Norristown, PA. Upon his retirement he was awarded, by the President of the United States, by Executive Order, The Meritorious Service Medal, in recognition of 21 years of outstanding service, professionalism, and excellent performance of duty. In both his professional and military careers, John was continually recognized for being a "by the book" leader who was also approachable and friendly and for setting the example for others and for always striving to achieve the highest level you can in all you do. In his retirement years, John started a third career, earning his Real Estate License in North Carolina, where he enjoyed the great golf weather, entertaining friends and making many memories. A doting "Pops", the birth of grandkids brought John closer to family, settling in Harbeson, DE where he built his forever home, close to generations of family. John will be remembered for his sense of humor, his strong character, and above all a loving and caring husband, father, brother, and friend. Robert Louis Barr Robert (Bob) Louis Barr, born in Norristown on March 18, 1940, peacefully passed away on November 27, 2023, at Gywnedd Healthcare and Rehab, where he resided for the past two months. Bob and his wife Beatrice (Bea) lived in Skippack for 40+ years. Bob was a hard-working man with a career as a machinist. He always enjoyed gardening and the outdoors and after his retirement started a small landscaping business. Bob's passions were as diverse as his skills; he found joy in fishing, hunting, and country music. However, his true devotion lay in harness racing, where he owned and raced horses along the East Coast for over three decades. His happiest moments were celebrated in the winners' circle, surrounded by his family and friends. Bob was immensely proud of his daughter, Kim Lannutti, and her husband Tony, along with his three grandchildren, Kelly and (Justin) Kassick, (Glen) and Jackie Mariani, Mike and (Mandy) Lannutti and his four great-grandchildren. Family gatherings and holidays were moments that Bob enjoyed, always relishing the time spent together with good food and laughter. In addition to his daughter, Bob is survived by his wife, Beatrice who currently resides at Gwynedd Healthcare, her children Rick and (Kelly) Cianciulli of New Jersey, Cathe Cianciulli of King of Prussia , and Mary Cianciulli of East Norriton. He will be dearly missed and remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his passion for life, and his dedication to the pursuits that brought him joy.
