Mr. Lawrence J. Bukovich, 97, passed away in his daughter's home, Friday, September 29, 2023. Mr. Bukovich was born in 1926 to Olga and Paul Bukovich, migrants from Yugoslavia who came through Ellis Island in the early 1900s. Olga became a U. S. citizen in 1943. As a teenager, Lawrence worked alongside his father in the coal mines of West Virginia. Lawrence was injured at 16 years of age when a slate from the coal mine fell on his leg causing a compound fracture. Lawrence proudly served in the United States Army in World War II. A few months after entering the U. S. Army his father was fatally injured in a coal mine collapse. After Lawrence completed his tour of duty, he was Honorably Discharged during Demobilization with a Good Conduct Medal, the American Theatre Service Medal, and the Victory Medal. Afterwards, Lawrence began working as a floor sweeper with a then startup company, National Wire, and diligently and loyally worked his way up to plant superintendent with many responsibilities including the opening of new facilities for National Wire, until he retired. He was a dependable, conscientious worker, and a loving father and dad, whose pride was in providing for his family. In 2022, during Lawrence's final years, he moved to Lynn Haven where his daughter, Carolyn, could continue his hospice care in her home until his passing. Carolyn was with him until he took his last breath. Lawrence was an honorable man. Mr. Bukovich was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 53 years, Mathalee Bukovich; his son, Larry N. Bukovich; his youngest daughter, Betty Bukovich; his parents and his siblings; among many, many other relatives and friends. He is survived by two daughters, Gloria P. Hord (Dr. Jim Hord) and Carolyn Basham (Benny Basham) both of Lynn Haven, FL; 10 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren, two great great- grandchildren; and a dear sister-in law, Maxine Wagner of Baltimore, MD. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a. m. , Friday, October 13, 2023 at Lynn Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice in Panama City, FL in memory of Mr. Bukovich.

John Clayton Fussell, 76, of Lynn Haven, Florida passed from this life after a long battle with cancer on the morning of November 28th in the arms of his beloved wife, Kathy. John was surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends during his last few days on Earth. John was born on May 13, 1947 in Bremerton, Washington to Johnny and Betty Fussell. The family moved to Prichard, Alabama. John graduated from Vigor High School and Southwest Technical Institute in Mobile. John lived a full and thrilling life. He worked as a defense contractor with Cubic World Wide Tech in San Diego, California. His job took him all over the world. He spent his time island-hopping in Thailand, riding camels in Egypt, and climbing mountains in Japan. He had many other adventures too long to list before returning to Panama City area where he ran his own company, Fussell Engineering. John was a permanent fixture along with his buddy Frank Jeansonne on Fridays at Hunts Oyster Bar in St Andrews. All who knew John treasured his unbounding kindness, his immense patience, his sincerity and his laughter. He loved traveling, motorcycles, sailing, diving and tennis but loved his family above all other things. John and his wife Kathy travelled extensively and enjoyed a myriad of adventures throughout their marriage. Their love for each other could be felt by everyone who surrounded and loved them. John is preceded in death by his daughter Lori Denise, and parents, Johnny and Betty Fussell. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Kathy Fussell, and his four daughters; Jodi Blumenthal (Howard) of Bradford, Pennsylvania, Shari Walsh (Michael) of Panama City Florida, Tiffany Sapp (Jason) of Panama City Florida and Chelsea Martinez (Leonel) of San Diego, California. He was also the grandfather of eleven adoring grandsons and one beautiful granddaughter; John Austin (Hillary), Corey Austin, Danielle Sellick (Jared), Jordan Walsh (Ashton), Jaron Sapp, Caleb Walsh, Justin Sapp, Theodore Sapp, Nathan Walsh, Ezra Chavez-Seng, August Chavez-Seng, and Sonny Martinez. And we can't forget his sweet cat Bella who will miss being spoiled by her daddy. Asked to serve as pallbearers are: John Austin, Corey Austin, Jordan Walsh, Jaron Sapp, Caleb Walsh, Justin Sapp, Theodore Sapp, and Nathan Walsh And Honorary Pallbearer, Harold Warren, John's best friend of forty years. A public visitation will be held at Kent-Forest Lawn on Thursday, November 30th, from 5-7 pm and a funeral service honoring John's life will be held at Emerald Coast Fellowship on Friday December 1st at 1pm. Karen Marie Irby, 63, of Lynn Haven, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 13, 2023. Karen was born on September 10, 1960 in Bowling Green, OH. She attended Bucyrus High School and the Nursing program at Marion Technical School. Karen decided to pursue a career as a Dental Assistant and began her training at the Red Cross Dental Assistant Program at MacDill Air Force Base. She continued her education through the Expanded Functions Dental Program at the University of Florida. After completing her training, Karen began her career at Dental Health Services in Tampa, FL. Her career ended 34 years later at Bay Implant and Perio where she worked as a Surgical Dental Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, arts & crafts, and walking. Above all, Karen was a proud mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert W. Zimpfer; paternal grandparents, Lucille and Ralph Zimpfer; maternal grandparents, Thelma and Alden Whitman ; and brother-in-law, Earl YerrickLeft to treasure Karen's memory is her husband of 42 years, Cory Lansing Irby; daughter, Stephanie Marie Irby; son, Daniel Gregory Irby (Marieleen Reyes-Perez); grandchildren Isabella Alexandria Fralick, age 12; and Mateo Daniel Irby, Age 4; mother and stepfather, Marcia and Ed Walton; sisters, Kimberly Yerrick (Randy Yaussy), Elaine Dotson (Steve) and Kris Anderson (Mike); nieces, Brittany Owens, Hilary Compton, Lydia Anderson, Briana Irby and Colette Mink; and nephew, Ryan Irby. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:00 a. m. at Heritage Funeral Home, with Pastor Donovan Perry officiating.
