Judith Gratia Boylan departed her loving family on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Judy was born in Minneapolis, MN, on December 14, 1936, to Cecilia and Rudolph St. Anthony. She was a 1954 graduate of Washburn High School, and a 1958 graduate of the College of St. Catherine. Judy was known for her love of music, diamonds, and travel! She was President of the Twin Cities Opera Guild, and a member of the Bach Society of MN. She taught private voice lessons as well as at Mound Westonka High School. In addition, she was Regional Director for the Metropolitan Opera. She loved working with students who were auditioning for the Met. Her love of music was portrayed in every aspect of her life. She also had a love of diamonds. She started her own jewelry business and traveled the world to find the most unique and beautiful diamonds. She continued her business up until a few months ago. Judy split her time between AZ and MN. Her hobbies included traveling with her sister, Mary, performing with her Tip Top Dance Club in Sun City, AZ, participating in line dancing, her Cursillo Retreat Group, Investment Group, Bridge Group, attending concerts, operas, and enjoying all the activities that Sun City, AZ, had to offer. She enjoyed being involved in the community, and staying busy and active. She would always say, "The key to staying young is to keep moving. " She is survived by her children Michael Boylan, Kathy Whitaker, Susan Ascher, Stephen Boylan, and Nancy Andzulis, and Grandchildren Connor Boylan, Bobby Whitaker, Will Whitaker, Nate Andzulis, and Ellie Andzulis. Aside from her children, Judy is survived by her sister, Mary Miller, and her brother, Joe and sister-in-law Debbie St. Anthony. Services will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on Friday, December 15, 2023. Visitation will be at 10:00 a. m. , and the Funeral will be at 11:00 a. m. There will be a burial immediately following the Service, and lunch will be served after the burial in Fellowship Hall. Frank Davis, 95, of Plymouth, MN passed on 11/25/2023. Frank was born in Crookston, MN on February 22nd, 1928 and was the third of five children of William and Lillian (Flewell) Davis. He grew up on a farm at Harold Station, near Crookston and attended school at the one room school house until 8th grade followed by cow college (agricultural school). He worked for Coca-Cola and later put up power lines working with his brother. Frank served in the Army from 1950 to 1952 and built bridges in Germany during the Korean War. After the war, he attended Dunwoody and got his degree in sheet metal work. During his career, Frank spent the majority of his time working at Vogt Heating and Air Conditioning. He was dedicated to his work and took pride in his contributions. Frank never stopped moving and could be found working in his garden, tinkering in his garage, taking walks, and getting coffee with friends at McDonald's. He also cherished the time he spent working at his farm in Wisconsin where he often spent his weekends. In his later years at his assisted living facility, he found joy in playing bingo and attending exercise classes. Frank was humble, generous and kind - a faithful friend to all that got to know him. A man of ageless integrity, he always instilled in himself, and those around him, a tireless work ethic. Frank was a dedicated family man and is survived by his two daughters, Karen Montgomery (Jack) of Dittmer, MO, and Elizabeth Jo Davis (Jesse) of St. Louis Park, MN; and eight step-children: Judy (Jim) Bolduc, Linda (Kevin) McElroy, Barry (LaRaa) Super, Chuck Super, Ben (Connie) Super, Angel (Greg) Vernon, Robert (Sarah) Super, and John (Jodi) Super. Frank was a loving grandfather to 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Doris Davis. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillian Davis, as well as his siblings Bernard Davis, Lester Davis, Stanley Davis, and Marian Knipe. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Davis, his first wife, Ruth Alexander Davis, and his children, Scott Davis, infant James, and infant Karen. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Frank Davis. Catherine Sue (Hoffman) Wright, 47, of South Minneapolis passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on November 20th, 2023, at her home. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Our Lady of Peace Church located at 5426 12th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am on Monday at Our Lady of Peace Church and continue after the mass service with a luncheon in the church basement. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00-6:00 pm on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Sleepy Eye Golf Course, in Sleepy Eye, MN with a short blessing at 4:00 pm. Cathy was born November 9, 1976, to Paul and Eileen Hoffman (Drexler), in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. She graduated from St Mary's in Sleepy Eye MN in 1995 where she went on to attend Ridgeview Community College in Wilmer MN. After moving to Minneapolis, Cathy met and married Charles Noble Wright on October 28th, 2006. They settled in South Minneapolis where they were eager to start a family of their own. Cathy's devoted and caring nature made motherhood come naturally. She and Charlie were blessed with three beautiful children, Nolan, Ellia and Paisley Wright. Cathy worked for Children's Hospitals of Minnesota as a Care Coordinator for the last 18 years. She enjoyed her job and loved her co-workers very much. Cathy had a passion for people and a real zest for life. She was always up for a new adventure. Whether it be a road trip to a nearby water park/hotel with a crew of kids in tow, to parasailing in Mexico, going to Disney World with her family, white water rafting and concerts in Colorado with Charlie and best friends, or just enjoying summer days back at the lake with her family. Cathy truly enjoyed life and the company she kept. Her kind soul, quick wit and laughter permeated her surroundings wherever she landed. Her strength was admirable. Cathy will be missed dearly by all that knew her, but her memory will most certainly live on. Cathy is survived by her Husband, Charles; her son, Nolan (15) and daughters, Ellia (13) and Paisley (10) Wright of South Minneapolis. Cox, James Orville age 96, of Plymouth MN, and Winter Haven, FL, passed away on November 20, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse (Jack) and Nola (McCall) Cox, Crystal, MN; first wife Katherine (Stromley) Cox of Milltown, WI; second wife, Nancy (Long) Cox of Plymouth, MN. Survived by sons, Darrell (Carrie) Cox, Raleigh, NC; Brian Cox, Hopkins, MN; stepdaughters, Linda Roal, Plymouth, MN; Wendy Roal (Jim) Warner, Orono, MN; stepson, Wayne (Dione) Roal, Hays, NC; grandchildren, Jesse Cox, Elise Cole, Brent Cox, Ryan Cox, Katie Cox, Colby Roal, Shelby Roal and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service at 11:00 a. m. preceded by visitation at 10 a. m. will occur on Friday, December 1 at Wayzata Community Church, 125 East Wayzata Blvd. , Wayzata. In memory of James, donations may be sent to North Memorial Health Foundation (hospice care). He was raised in Crystal, Minnesota on his parent's truck farm. Jim graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1945. After high school Jim attended the University of Minnesota for one semester before shipping off to the Philippines for WW II clean-up operations in 1946. He graduated from the U of M in 1950 and went to work at Northern States Power (Xcel Energy) where he worked for over 40 years, with his last 20 years serving as an officer of the company. In his younger years, Jim's hobbies included fishing and hunting, with a group of friends. These men and their wives remained friends through the years, celebrating New Years together for over 50 years. Jim and his wife, Nancy, enjoyed hiking, cycling, sailing and travel during their retirement years. They loved their life together - both in Minnesota and Florida.
