"Funeral services for Mr. Lavelle Joe Harris will be held at 12 PM Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Lin Chesney and Rev. Rusty Walton officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 until time for service. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Harris, 91, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, at his home. He lived in Neshoba County most of his life and was a Meat Inspector for the USDA and a Mason. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, and he loved to fish. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hollie Irvin Harris and Agnes Knight Harris; daughter, Deborah Dennis; sons, Donald and Daniel Harris; sisters, Jeanette Dean, Lexie Alexander; brothers, Robert, Harvey, Billy, Pedo, and Mickey Harris. Survivors include his wife, Mattie Jane Harris of Union; son, David Harris (Donna) of Byram; (1) grandson, Joshua Harris (Tracey), and a host of Nieces and nephews. Pallbearers: Danny Joyner, Jerry Goforth, Jimmy Harris, Stan Harris, Jimmy Dean, Justin Barnes. "

"Funeral services for Mr. Robert "Bob" Warren will be held at 2 PM Friday, December 1, 2023 at John E. Stephens Chapel with interment in McLain Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-2 PM Friday, December 1, 2023 at John E. Stephens Chapel. Robert (Bob) Louis Warren, 81, late of Philadelphia MS, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2023, at his home. Born November 9, 1942 in Philadelphia MS, he was the son of the late Henry and Carrie (Fortenberry) Warren. Robert is survived by his daughter Marilyn (Jeff) Simmons of IL, and granddaughter Jennifer (Matt) Emberson of IL. He is also survived by his brother Ray (Rachel) Warren, sisters Betty Kelley and Diane (James) Scarborough, numerous nieces and nephews, and numerous stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving caregivers, step-granddaughter Amber Tess, and step-daughter Letha Hinson. Robert was preceded in death by his second wife Dorothy and brothers Leonard, Charles, Bill, Clayton, and Lamar Warren, sisters Dorothy Kirkland, Annie Dee Spears, and Louise Adams, and infant sister Eva Juel Warren. Robert moved to Joliet IL in 1960, working at several jobs, including owning a Shell Gas Station, and working at the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant during the Vietnam War. He returned to Mississippi in 1985, where he enjoyed cattle ranching for several years and working at The Frame Shop. In Robert's spare time he enjoyed working in his garden. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Bell, 71, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Choctaw Health Center in Choctaw, MS. She lived most of her life in the Tucker Community, and she was the Deputy Director of the Department of Family and Community Services. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, and her hobbies were playing with grandchildren, traveling to go see light houses, and watching grandchildren play sports. She is preceded in death by her husband, Truman Bell; parents, Ike Anderson and Louvenia King; son, Eric Shane Bell; sisters, Rita Vee Allen, Susan Irene Fraizer, Mabel Gibson, Elizabeth Solomon Shoemake; brothers, Chancellor Solomon, Huddleston Solomon, Bronson Solomon, Arman Solomon. Survivors include daughter, Robin Tiffany Bell; sons, Jeremy Bell, Michael Ashley Bell; foster son, Shawn Shoemake; sisters, Anita Kay Johnson, Ina Mae Solomon, Tanya Reed; brother, Johnny Smith; (2) grandchildren.
