Laurie Ann Howard (53) of Morningview, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood. She was born in Edgewood, KY on March 17, 1970, daughter of Edward and Kathleen Rump Darrell. She is preceded in death by her sister Carrie McManama. In addition to her parents Edward and Kathy Darrell, she is survived by her sons Adam and Aaron Combs, brothers Todd and Jody Darrell, sister Christy Darrell and grandchildren Madison Humphries, Colton, Skylar, Sadie and Starlynn Combs. Visitation will be held from 12-2pm, Monday, October 9, 2023 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral Service will immediately follow at 2pm, also at the funeral home.

Carol Ann Sebastian (62) of Falmouth, KY passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, at St Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence. She was born in Ashland, KY on January 21, 1961, daughter to the late William and Lois Johnson Crawford. Carol is a member of First Baptist Church of Alexandria and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Coldspring. She was a retired Teacher's Aide and had worked at both Northern and Southern Elementary. Carol was overwhelmed with love for her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Nathan Sebastian, and children William "Will" (Deann) Sebastian, Jenny (Scott) Wilson, and Rosemary Taylor. Sisters Cathy Wright and Gail Crawford. Grandchildren Nathan Wilson, Caroline Taylor William Taylor, Preston Sebastian, Oliver Taylor, Kendall Wilson, and Lilly Sebastian. Visitation will be held from 11-12 pm Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Funeral service will follow at 12 pm, also at the funeral home. Carol's final resting place will be at Turner Ridge Cemetery in Falmouth, Ky. Memorials are suggested to the family to help cover funeral and medical costs.Show more

Marvin Dawson

Marvin Dexter Dawson (74) of Falmouth, KY, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at his home. Marvin was born in Butler, KY on February 23, 1949, son of the late Merrill and Velma Plummer Dawson. Marvin was a member of the Second Twelve Mile Baptist church, after 31 years Marvin retired as a foreman for the city of Ft. Thomas public works, he was a lifelong Pendleton County farmer while also driving a school bus for the Pendleton County school system for the last 14 years. Marvin enjoyed working with horses, International tractors and Chevrolet's. In addition to his parents, Marvin is preceded in death by his brothers Donald and Charles Dawson. Survivors include his daughters Brenda Dawson, and Makenna Dawson, sons Joe (Missy) Dawson, and Mike Dawson, sisters Georgia Mae Grasch, Esther (Bob) McClanahan, and Alice (the late Bud) King, brothers David (JoEllen) Dawson, and Paul Dawson, grandchildren Cody Dawson, Parker Wilson, and Holdyn Dawson. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm, Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler, KY. Funeral Service will follow Wednesday at 11am also at the funeral home. Adam Emery Miles, 45, returned to his heavenly family on Sunday, November 12, 2023. Born in Louisville, Ky, he moved to Falmouth, Ky in 2016 until his passing. Adam enjoyed music, bowling, and spending time with his family and friends. He'll be remembered for his masterful guitar skills as well as his creativity and wit that would culminate in mischievousness as seen in the jokes and pranks he enjoyed sharing with those around him. In addition to his playful side, Adam had a wise air about him that was enhanced by his patience and kindness. His strength was in his selflessness and loyalty. He was an inspiration to those who knew him and was loved by all. He was preceded in death by his brother Jacob Miles and parents, Glenn and Carole Miles. He is survived by his siblings, Matthew, Holly (nee Miles) Armenta (Greg), Noah Miles; nieces Brooke and Elyce Armenta, nephew Joshua Armenta, and many other loving family and friends. A special thanks to the Falmouth community for their care and support. Acts of kindness are encouraged in Adam's memory. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Earl Miller (76) of Demossville, KY, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. He was born in Hazard, KY on October 29, 1947, son of the late Albert and Cassie Campbell Miller. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Miller. Earl loved cars and was a maintenance supervisor in Cincinnati. Bill has worked the last 36 years at Tyson Foods and a member of the Campbell County Game and Fish. In his spare time Bill enjoyed taxidermy, painting and old cars. Thomas, KY on April 9, 1957, son of the late Ralph and Pearlie Browning Wright. Tony was a self-employed construction worker, loved basketball and old western movies. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Jerry Wright and sister Linda Mulloy. Survivors include his son Andrew Wright, daughter Dawn Stacey, step-son John McKinney, brothers Pete (Karen) Wright and Jim (Darlene) Wright, grandchildren Morgan Stacey, Karter Wright and Kristin Keeton. He was born in Leslie Co. , Ky on October 19, 1944 son to the late Grant F. and Rittie Caudill Baker. In addition to his parents, Watson is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Baker, brothers Linz, Ruben, Happy and Lonnie Baker, sisters Opal Farler, Ruby Gail Wells and Mary Belle Jones. Watson is survived by his daughter Sherry DeWald, sons Jason (Patty) Baker, Terry F. (Donna) Baker, stepson Matthew Rogers, brother Grant Baker Jr. , sister Geneva Wilson, grandchildren Trent Baker, Corey DeWald, Rachel DeWald and Jude Rogers. Watson retired from Ford Motor Company, was a member of U. A. W. Local 863, farmed and loved Bluegrass music. Curtis Shelton

Curtis Shelton (89) of Butler, KY, passed away on November 1, 2023 at St. Elizabeth in Ft. Thomas from the progression of Parkinson's Disease. He was born on July 5, 1934, son of the late James and Lola Stacy Shelton. Curtis was a member of Plum Creek Christian Church and also enjoyed working at the Plum Creek Sharing Center for multiple years. He loved his children and grands with all he had. He was an avid scratch golfer and made many friends on the course. He worked for Suburban Chevrolet as the Body Shop Manager until his medical retirement. After moving to Grants Lick, he worked on small engines, helped on a family farm with tractor repair, and took up woodworking. Many family and friends were gifted with beautiful works of art before he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. He then began teaching the craft to his son who enjoys it just as much. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Maurine Bray Shelton, son Gregory Curtis Shelton, granddaughter Danielle Gosney-Baker, brothers Major, Thurman, Willard and James Berchen Shelton, sisters Dorothy Lockard, Marie Hehman and Audrey Harris. Curtis is survived by his children Vicky (Ray) Pauly, Jeff (Vikki) Shelton, Beverly (Jim) Holland and John (Jennette) Shelton, grandchildren Heather (Damien) Hicks, Joseph Shelton, Ben Shelton, Will Shelton, Katey Shelton, Shaylan Nilson, Calina Nilson, Stephan Baker, Great Grands: Curtis Hicks, Molly Hicks, Isla Baker, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, his lunch bunch, many church friends and golfing buddies. She was born in Delhi, Louisiana on August 7, 1940, the daughter of the late John and Vera Cathy Fife. In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her two infant sons Randall Ward Norman and Jeffery Dale Norman, and her brother Bobby Fife. Carolyn was a member of Short Creek Baptist Church and a former Sunday School Teacher. Survivors include her husband William Norman, son Brandon (Lori) Norman, daughters Tammy Norman and Theresa Norman, and sister Betty Fife Mircle. Grandchildren; Jeremy (Maria) Sketoe, Brittney (Shawn Shiflet) Gore, Malachi Griess, MaKayla Griess, Savannah Norman, McKinley Shiflet, Elijah Norman, and Kent Shiflet.
