Laurie Howard Obituary

Laurie Ann Howard, age 60, died unexpectedly, but peacefully on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in Jonesville, Michigan. Laurie was born on August 31, 1962 in Munising to Jerry and Beverly Howard. Laurie grew up in Van Meer and graduated from Munising High School. She later moved to Maine where she raised her three children. Laurie found joy in a variety of activities. She enjoyed cooking, puzzles, sewing, crocheting and bingo. Laurie loved the outdoors and liked to garden, go berry picking and the beach, where she could spend hours rock hunting. She is survived by her parents, Jerry and Beverly Howard; children Jennifer (Chad) Doucette, Brent (Jessica) Carter, and Matthew (Natasha) Carter; grandchildren-who call her Noki, Aiden, Ashlyn, and Kynlee Doucette, and Hendrix Carter and Waylon and Cylus Carter; siblings, Paul, Leon(MaryAnn), Shawn, Heidi(Gerard), Daniel, Stephen, Deborah, Elizabeth, Hannah(Shannon), and Sarah; and many nieces and nephews. Laurie was preceded in death by her partner of 18 years, Daniel Roberts, uncle Jim Howard, aunt Carol Howard, grandparents Dorothy and Stan Kusmirek, Paul Howard, Leon and Margaret Kroupa, brother David Howard, nephew Jordan Miron, and great-niece Haiden Nicole.
