"Laura was born on December 4, 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Charles Warren Smith and Mary Joan Smith. She passed away from this life on September 28, 2023 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 61. She spent most of her young life in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she graduated from Central High School in 1979. She worked for Furr\u0027s Family Diner for several years in Tulsa. While working there she also joined The Center for individuals with Physical Challenges. The Center helped her overcome her challenges, make friends and enjoy many activities. While at the Center she met her lifelong partner and friend Bobby Rust in 1985. Then three years later they had their daughter Karaann on March 12, 1988. Then a few years, Laura and Bobby moved to Florida to work at the Salty Dog Bar \u0026amp; Grill for her brothers Greg and Chris. While not working she enjoyed going to the beach or hanging out with her brothers and friends. Then later they moved back to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to reunite with their daughter Karaann. They became members of Ridge Crest Baptist Church in Tulsa. The Pastor Jeff Stone married Laura and Bobby on November 15, 1998 on their back porch of their house that they bought from Imogene Rust. Laura enjoyed Florida more than Oklahoma because they moved back to Florida as a family. They spent a few years in Florida as a family. Laura and Bobby volunteered at the Senior Center in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, serving hot meals to the seniors. Later they became members of South Walton First Baptist Church in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Pastor Walt Campbell needed volunteers to help serve in different areas of the church, as a family they volunteered in the kitchen, Vacation Bible School, Fall Festivals, and the Nursery. Laura made many friends in Florida and she attended church every week. They decided as a family to settle down somewhere so in 2015 they moved back to Tulsa. She also enjoyed many different activities such as stained glass, painting, and ceramics. She enjoyed watching football games, wrestling and variety of movies. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter and her soon to be son-in-law Stephen. She was a wife, mom, sister and a friend who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter Karaann, soon to be son-in-law Stephen of the home. A brother Chris Smith of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; She has several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is survived by several sister-in laws and brother-in laws. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Jimmie Rust, husband Bobby Rust, brother Greg Smith and sister-in-law Karen Smith. "
