Laura D. Blassingame, 58 of Simpsonville, SC passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Laura "Cookie" Darlene Blassingame, was born August 7, 1964 in Sylva, North Carolina. She is the daughter of the late Laura Jane Allen and the late June Jackson. She passed on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Prisma Health, Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura Jane Allen and June Jackson. Laura resided in Simpsonville, South Carolina. She was employed at Milliken - Hillcrest, as an HR Administrator. She was a notable employee who genuinely enjoyed her co- workers and every aspect of her role. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend who would go above & beyond for anyone. Laura leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her devoted husband, Fredrick Blassingame of Simpsonville, SC; two daughters, Jaretta Love of Tampa, FL and Jasmine Blassingame of Columbia, SC; one brother, Thomas Bryson of Sylva, NC; two grandsons, Devontay Taylor and Tayshawn Sullivan both of Tampa, FL; one mother-in-law, Luree Blassingame of Greenville, SC; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Laura will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM and the funeral beginning at 11:30 AM. Following the funeral will be a committal service at 1:00 PM at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673.
