Lathan Charles Tero was born December 26th, 1959, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the lateRosemary Butler Tero and Manuel Tero, Sr. , as 1 of 6 children. At an early age, he practiced the Catholic Religion while attending St. Philip The Apostle Churchand school, as well as George Washington Carver Senior High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He furthered his education at Delgado College in New Orleans, Louisiana. Years later, he enlisted into the U. S. Army from September 19th, 1978, to September 14th, 1981,where he served as a Soldier and a Tactical Wire Operations Specialist. After being honorablydischarged, he spent many years flourishing in his skills of commercial painting andconstructing with companies such as Tulane University and ABM Industries at Lone StarCollege; He was also an entrepreneur in this regard. Though he was born and raised in NewOrleans, he briefly resided in Dallas, Texas from 2006-2010, where he attended The PottersHouse with Reverend T. D. Jakes. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending time with family, taking long rides, attending concertslike Franky Beverly & Maze, watching movies and TV shows like Yellowstone, as well as havinglong conversations and joking around with the people he loved. Lathan was known for hisupbeat personality and wittiness; he will always be remembered for his beautiful smile andundeniable swag. Lathan Charles Tero transitioned from his earthly journey to eternal life on April 28th, 2023 andhe was preceded in death by his Wife, Fannie Sewell Tero, his parents, Rosemary Butler Teroand Manuel Tero, Sr. , as well as his Brother, Manuel Tero, Jr. Treasuring his memory, he leaveshis only child, Tayna N. Tero, his Grandchildren Ta'Jon N. Tero-Harris (Leonard A. Harris, Jr. ),Taylor Tero-Robinson (George A. Robinson, III. ), and John H. Williams, Jr. , as well as his GreatGrandchildren Tahj-Marie Wiggins, Skylar-Rose Harris, and Leonard Harris, III. Cherishing hismemories, he leaves his siblings Timothy Tero (Verna Tero) , Trenia Lewis (Derek Lewis),Stephanie Hilton (Keith Hilton, Sr. ), Kenneth Shaw (Lorreyna Shaw), as well as a host of aunts,uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
