On November 27, 2023 our beloved mother, best friend, & confidant Shirley Rae Richens Bussard passed away surrounded by her close family. Shirley was such an amazing person. She suffered and battled with many chronic health conditions for over a decade - yet she was always there for her family and friends, doing whatever she could do to ease what they were going through. She was the type of person that would give you her last thing if she thought it would ease your suffering. Please know that if you were ever in Shirley's life, she loved you very much. She loved all her friends and family and would have done anything for you. Her capacity to love was huge and given freely. Shirley grew-up in The Uintah Basin in Uintah County, UT until right after high school. At that time she moved to Salt Lake City, UT and went to beauty school. While she was going to school she met Terry Bussard, whom she later married and had two kids with - JoAnn Bussard Jacobs and Brian Bussard. JoAnn later had her only granddaughter - Kasie Bussard. Shirley was an amazing and supportive stay at home mom for many years. She was always dabbling in selling different products such as AVON, Mary Kay, & Tupperware in the late 70's and early 80's while she was home caring for her family. She enjoyed spending time camping, boating, playing tennis, riding bikes, painting ceramics & pictures, crafting, sewing & making blankets, reading books, & listening to music. From 1983-1988 she ran a very popular fast-food restaurant next to the high school in Tooele, UT. Shirley has always been there to help her family and friends. Shirley is survived by Terry Bussard, JoAnn Bussard, Brian Bussard, & Kasie Bussard. Also, her sister Sandra McKimmey and Sandra's son Jeff McKimmey, his wife Melissa McKimmey, and their daughter Hannah McKimmey. Shirley is going to join her Dad (Frank Deloy Richens), her Mom (Ina Rae Kettle Richens Curtis), her brothers Frank Deloy Richens and Douglas Elmer Richens, Brother-In-Law Larry McKimmey, and all of her beautiful Grandparents.
