Obituary Kyla Shay Williams, 50, of Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on her birthday, Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the Willis Knighton North Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. She was born in Little Rock, AR to her parents, Keith, and Barbara Gifford, was a graduate of Crossett High School, and a member of Beech Street Baptist Church. For over thirty years, Kyla worked as a beautician, working at the "Shear Success" Shop in Monroe for the last twenty-five. She loved her career, and the numerous friends and clients she had accumulated. She was outgoing, independent, and determined and worked extremely hard at her job, even while experiencing her own pain and sickness. Kyla was selfless, always willing to go the extra mile for anyone in need and enjoyed spending her free time reading books, watching movies, and hanging out with her beloved fur babies. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Oreece and Lavon Higginbotham, Carl Gifford, and Bernice Kelley. She leaves behind her parents, Keith, and Barbara Gifford; and one sister, Kacie Gifford, all of Crossett; along with one special sister friend, Kecia Audirsch, of Monroe, LA; two nephews, Jacob Meeks (Evie), and Landon Meeks, both of Crossett; one niece, Ashley Barentine (Charles) of Monroe, LA; and five great nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p. m. , Saturday, June 25th, at Beech Street Baptist Church, 500 Beech St. , in Crossett, with Pastor Donnie Dubose, officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p. m. , at the church, prior to the service. Services entrusted to Medders Funeral Home.
